The Sophia was a scout ship associated with Dead Orbit. After a Dead Orbit scout found a Golden Age space station near Ceres, the Sophia's crew was sent on behalf of the Dead Orbit fleet to scavenge whatever they could find. On arrival, they were ambushed by an Awoken ship, which crippled the Sophia's engines and communications. The crew were ultimately forced to abandon the ship and take refuge in the station.[2]
