The Rune-Cursed Ogre is a type of Taken Ogre encountered within the Impasse during the Overthrow activity.

Gameplay

The Rune-Cursed Ogre can be found in the arena at the eastmost edge of the Impasse, encased in an immunity shield. To remove the shield, the players must first destroy a Crux of Darkness hidden in the cracks of the arena's monoliths, revealing four Darkness shards, and then slay the two copies of Thalask, Keeper of Keys that lurk the area. Each Thalask will reveal a symbol that corresponds to that over two of the shards. Picking up the correct shards will remove the Ogre's shield. When the Ogre reaches half health, it will reengage its shield and the process must be repeated. Killing the Rune-Cursed Ogre completes the event.
