| Claudia and I went back to the old lab in Hong Kong today. She says that's where she found me with my headband, so we've got our best shot at finding the chip there. But the place is a total wreck—we're searching for a needle in a haystack.

| I saw a black cat staring at me while Claudia was rambling about her "safe" plan. No matter where I went, it'd still be looking straight at me. Not even my clones could fool it. Of all the things I expected to find at the lab, an animal that wasn't afraid of people wasn't one of them. I went to go pet it, but it darted off as soon as I got near, then continued staring at me. Weird. Well, no harm in tailing it to find out what its deal is.

| We followed the black cat into the building. The Fallen had rendered everything inside nearly unrecognizable. I couldn't help but ask Claudia if it was like this back then, too. She had the nerve to answer me by asking, "You saw it when I resurrected you, didn't you?" How's anyone supposed to remember anything fresh outta the grave? I gotta say, though, the place is a nightmare to navigate. Dunno how I would've found my way around the crumbling walls if it weren't for the cat leading the way.

| After searching for what felt like hours, it finally stopped in front of a pile of clothes. They were tattered, worn, and medium-sized—maybe fit for a teenager. The cat peeled away some of the clothes and pushed a tattered diary in front of us when it saw us approaching. I picked it up and went to pet the black cat, but it was gone! Poof! Vanished in the blink of an eye!

| I asked Claudia if she saw it, but she said she hadn't seen any black cat at all. She'd just been following me. So I told her what had just happened. She said people in Eastern cultures believed cats to be spiritual guides. Spiritual guides? So what I saw was…?

| Y'know what, next time I see a black cat, I'm bookin' it.
