Jiangshi Metro[edit]

File 1[edit]

A transportation hub located in what was once the center of Jiangshi.

In the Golden Age, trains coming from all directions or passing through the Jiangshi Metro area converged here. Among them were freight trains in support of the Lanyue program, and passenger trains with travelers who came to visit the Aeronautic Campus or transit here to immigrate to other planets via colony ships. In its prime, it was a tall building with transportation tracks cascading from the ground to the air at heights of hundreds of meters, connecting the Aeronautic Campus, the city, the outskirts housing the Space Elevator, the spacecraft launch and landing site, and many other places. Jiangshi Metro was also one of the world's main communication hubs.

The Collapse destroyed most creations of human civilization, and Jiangshi Metro was no exception. But when the disaster receded and humanity reclaimed the land, Jiangshi Metro was one of the first areas people set their eyes on, as the stranded freight trains that once supplied the nearby Golden Age facilities still held many valuable resources.

It has remained an area of frequent human activity ever since, during both Yannick's and Xuân Yến's reigns and beyond.

File 3[edit]

When the Fallen invasion began the guerrillas of Jiangshi Metro were caught off guard. Their positions were lost one after another, and for a time, the humans only controlled a small area near the station, and their communications with other regions were cut off. the first wave of Fallen attacks was eventually stopped, though it cost the lives of the Iron Lady and her squad, and the guerrillas regained much of their territory.

Since then, Jiangshi Metro has served as the guerrillas' base of operations.

Eye of the Storm[edit]

Mu Ying hypothesizes this to be the source of Jiangshi Metro's bad weather. It may be connected to the Fallen.

Fulminator[edit]

A device the Fallen have been using to manipulate the weather.

During the Golden Age, a facility that could artificially drive away clouds or rain was constructed to help ensure smooth rocket launches from the Aeronautic Campus. And now, as the Fallen prepare to launch an all-out attack on Jiangshi Metro, the Splicer priest Vanok modified this technology, transforming it into a base capable of creating massive thunderstorms and giving the House of Devils an advantage.

Icy Lake[edit]

File 1[edit]

Once a reservoir that supported Jiangshi residents' industry and daily life back in the Golden Age, it was frozen over during the climate change caused by the Collapse.

At some point, rumors began to circulate among the locals, claiming the area to be haunted.

Recent investigations by Lightbearers have confirmed the existence of a malicious alien army lurking beneath the frozen lake. Judging from their appearance and habits, they may be the monsters rumored to "haunt the Moon"—the Hive.

Ketch Wreckage[edit]

Remnants of a House of Devils Ketch that crashed in Jiangshi Metro.

During the centuries of the Long Drift, the Ketch, named after the House of Devils's former Prime Servitor Maliks, led the House's starships across the sea of stars. Through great hardship, it finally arrived at Earth, only to crash during an attack on Jiangshi Metro. Years later, the Ketch's wreckage's automated defenses went haywire, making the whole place filled with deadly traps. Despite the threat, there are still many who are attracted by the rumored lost treasure of the Kell and are willing to risk their lives to enter the ship.

Lanyue 5 Factory[edit]

An aeronautics factory built in Jiangshi Metro during the Golden Age.

During the Golden Age, Jiangshi Metro's Lanyue Aeronautic Campus was known throughout the world, and the city's industry was centered on aerospace. One relic of this time is the Lanyue 5 Factory.

This modernized facility had a variety of production methods ranging from 3D printing to assembly lines, and its products included electronic components, accessories, and communicators for rockets and spaceships. When the Fallen invaded, they quickly realized the value of the place, and have been trying to take full control and reactivate it.

Data Center[edit]

A lab located in the outskirts of Jiangshi Metro. It houses a great deal of research and data from humanity's Golden Age.

Lanyue Aeronautic Campus[edit]

An international center for space exploration and scientific research in the Golden Age, located outside Jiangshi Metro.

The stable climate and altitude advantages made the area around Jiangshi Metro a suitable site for rocket launches. As the demand for space exploration exploded during the Golden Age, the Lanyue Aeronautic Campus grew from a single rocket launcher to an entire region of crowded launch pads. In its heyday, several rockets were launched from the space campus almost every day.

The Pit[edit]

The Space Data Center and Energy Hub at the bottom of the Space Elevator, and the entrance to the Space Elevator on the ground.

This facility is now occupied by the House of Devils. After more than ten years of work, the Fallen turned this place into a heavily armed fortress and the base for their activities around Jiangshi Metro. Suspiciously, the Prime Servitor—a vital entity for any House—had also appeared here, though it is not accompanied by the Archon meant to protect it…

Space Elevator[edit]

One of humanity's many Golden Age engineering marvels.

When Jiangshi Aeronautic Campus gradually began expanding to become Southeast Asia's hub for space and extraterrestrial exploration, Project Lanyue was launched to enhance its efficiency even further. Over the following twenty years, the Lanyue Space Elevator—a gigantic structure nearly 130,000 kilometers high—would be constructed and completed, greatly reducing the cost of space travel and propelling the Aeronautic Campus to global fame.

Lanyue Space Station[edit]

File 1[edit]

A space station that humans built during the Golden Age, reached via Jiangshi Metro's Space Elevator.

The Lanyue Space Elevator reaches the altitude of the synchronous orbit and features several ring-shaped space stations built on the axis of the elevator shaft, looking like donuts strung on a bamboo pole. They once had a variety of uses, including tourism, scientific research, and transportation. After the Collapse, however, they were left unattended and malfunctioned frequently. Most were looted once the House of Devils arrived.

Seemingly following orders form the Splicers and Issakis, the Fallen have been looting Jiangshi Metro's Golden Age tech and materials, using this steady stream of resources to convert this Lanyue station into a space fortress, which he dubbed the "Eclipse Monolith." Jiangshi Metro is no match for such a massive Fallen army.

Greenhouse[edit]

A facility that plays a key role in Jiangshi Metro's food supply.

This high-tch greenhouse was originally used for researching Traveler-influenced plants and conducting extraterrestrial agricultural experiments. To simulate the environments on other planets, researchers could adjust the greenhouse's temperature, humidity, light, and other conditions according to their needs. After the Collapse, the climate around Jiangshi Metro was completely changed, and the greenhouse became the only place where farming was possible.

For a long time, the survivors have relied on this building for food.
