Humans

Earth's original higher-intelligence race.

Humans dominated the planet since the dawn of the species thousands of years ago. But at the beginning of the 21st century, everything changed. The Traveler brought human civilization into its centuries-long Golden Age, but the Collapse saw human civilization nearly destroyed and decimated its population.

Despite all this, humankind remains as resilient as ever.

Awoken

A human subspecies originating from the humans on Earth.

On the eve of the Collapse, a spacecraft carrying tens of thousands of colonists was right on the front lines of the clash between two immense forces of paracausal power. These powers created a whole new sub-universe when they collided, remodeling the colonists who were right in the middle of it in the process. They were reborn in this new universe called the Distributary and became the first Awoken.

Exos

Mechanical beings possessing human consciousness, created during the Golden Age.

From the pre-Golden Age to the Golden Age, countless people have come up with various hypotheses on how to achieve immortality. One of the more popular ones was to import human consciousness into machines.

During the Golden Age, countless people attempted it, yet only one was successful—the founder of Bray Tech, Clovis Bray I. In the Deep Stone Crypt of Europa, the first Exo to possess human consciousness was born.

Arc

Arc is an electric field discharge, a fundamental physical phenomenon associated with electric charge and electromagnetic fields.

Lightbearers can release the Light in the form of Arc energy. conducting powerful currents to create plasma missiles, pulse explosions, and even pure plasma surges.

Solar

Solar is heat, combustion, nuclear energy, and the movement of microscopic particles.

Lightbearers can release the Light in the form of Solar energy, igniting objects, creating explosions, or manifesting any phenomenon related to heat.

Void

Void is gravity, the fundamental force that exists between all matters with mass.

Lightbearers can release the Light in the form of Void energy, creating black holes, warping space, absorbing matter and energy, or creating force fields that insulate against impact.

Relic

Powerful devices driven by Light.

Generally speaking, a Lightbearer determines their combat style when finding their "destined Relic." These items are considered left by bygone Lightbearers and have passed hands several times, as if guided by a certain spiritual power. But in recent years, so-called artificial Relics have also proven reliable in combat. It seems that what we know about Light and its utilization in combat is only the tip of the iceberg.
