When [[Oryx, the Taken King]] was creating his court, he decided to have room in his court for joy. He spoke with his [[worm]] who showed him a shape that was, "the correct shape of joy."<ref name="Grimoire:Kagoor"/> Kagoor was then "created" into his court. She became known for her mastery in taming ogres and how her death was "hidden in this sport." [[Crota, Son of Oryx]] became jealous of her power which led to the creation of the [[Might of Crota]], an ogre that Crota wanted Kagoor to fail at taming.<ref name="Grimoire:Kagoor"/>

Kagoor existed throughout Oryx's wars against other species. ==Gameplay==
Kagoor is a very difficult boss to tackle. Her Necromantic Gaze is difficult to dodge. She will summon endless waves of Ogres, [[Maleficent Eye]]s (a stronger variant of [[Acolyte's Eye]]s), and Devoured Shadows (a stronger variant of [[Shadow Thrall]]s). Killing the Maleficent Eyes, however, will grant Guardians a buff called "Ogre's Fury", which will greatly boost damage against Ogres, even the Servile Ogre, which must be killed to disable Kagoor's shield. Once the Servile Ogre is down, every Guardian on the battlefield must attack Kagoor with everything they have: weapons, Supers, grenades. Otherwise, another Servile Ogre will reappear, and players will need to repeat the process. It is possible to defeat Kagoor if the Servile Ogre appears a second time, but Guardians must be quick.

*The [[Gravetide Summoner]] encountered as a weekly bounty by [[the Spider]] uses similar mechanics to Kagoor. She can only be damaged when her [[Gravetide Ogre]] is killed.
