Jakinda is a Guardian who was part of a fireteam with Yael and one other Guardian. After their third fireteam member died a final death at the hands of the Hive, Jakinda and Yael traveled across the Solar System to find and kill the four Hive responsible for their death; Ur-Danak, Alak-Tal, Ganaroth and In-Atôth. Their quest for vengeance brought them to Nereid, where they tracked down and killed In-Atôth. However, in doing so, they had ignored a distress call they picked up en-route, and afterwards, Jakinda's conscience prompted her to abandon Yael on Nereid and seek out the source of the distress call.
