The Reshapped Codex is a Destiny 2 Strike released as part of the Convergent Pattern expansion, located on Sedna. It follows a Guardian fireteam, guided by Osiris and Gallida Tuyet, as they investigate the Convergent Vex experiments and study of the Dread drawn to Sedna by the power of the Echo of Paracausality.

Story

{Mission start}

The Guardian arrives in the Cavate.
  • Osiris: Guardian, I've been noting the influx of Dread since we arrived. Undoubtedly because of the Echo. The Convergent Vex have been capturing any they can find and bringing them to a single spot. We must know what they are doing with the Dread.
The Guardian makes their way to the Pillar of Understanding.
  • Gallida Tuyet: I know I've not been up to date for… well, a long time. But, I've never seen anything like these Dread before.
  • Osiris: You wouldn't. They are creations of the Witness from Light carved from the Traveler itself to be its vanguard.
  • Gallida Tuyet: So, when the Witness was destroyed, what happened to them?
  • Osiris: They were aimless, drawn to what power they could to be whole, including the Echoes. Some have even used them to create Dread. If the Vex learn to do the same…
  • Ghost: Then we'll stop them all the same!
The Guardian fights their way through the Vex and find an area with various Dread locked behind Vex prison cells.
  • Ghost: Osiris, we've found the Dread! The Vex seem to be keeping them locked up.
  • Osiris: They must be keeping them for study. To see how they are made and how they can do the same.
The Guardian reaches a large Vex gate with what appears to be a Minotaur. As they approach, the Minotaur forms and readies for combat, but is shaped more like a Tormentor and wields a Vexified Tormentor Scythe.
  • Ghost: Is that… a Tormentor?
  • Osiris: Destroy it, Guardian! Leave nothing for the Vex to recover!
The Guardian battles Basanismos. After losing half of his health, Basanismos will become immune.
The Guardian defeats Basanismos.
  • Ghost: Osiris, the Vex has been destroyed.
  • Osiris: Good. But that the Vex were close to creating a Dread is concerning. We must get to the core and destroy Ouranos before this madness can go further.

  • Osiris: Despite the destruction of their commanding mind, the Convergent Vex continue in efforts to study the Dread. Return to their lab and
The Guardian makes their way to the Pillar of Understanding.
The Guardian fights their way through the Vex and find an area with various Dread locked behind Vex prison cells.
The Guardian reaches a large Vex gate with what appears to be a Minotaur. As they approach, the Minotaur forms and readies for combat, but is shaped more like a Tormentor and wields a Vexified Tormentor Scythe.
  • Ghost: Looks like the Vex have rebuilt their little Tormentor project. We'll junk it again!
The Guardian battles Basanismos. After losing half of his health, Basanismos will become immune.
The Guardian defeats Basanismos.
  • Ghost: That Vex looked an awful lot like Nezarec. Do the Vex know about him?
  • Osiris: With how ancient Nezarec it, it is certainly possible. I had noted some Tormentors during the invasion of Neomuna bearing his name. Perhaps it is a genetic meme imprinted into each Tormentor created.

  • Osiris: I thought this Minotaur had been destroyed. How could the Vex have rebuilt it so easily?
  • Gallida: I recall researching Restorative Minds. They're made to restore destroyed Minds by pulling them from the past. Perhaps there's one on Sedna.
  • Osiris: A problem we will have to deal with when we can.
  • Ghost: Until then, should the Vex return this experiment again, we'll be there to stop them.
