History[edit]
It first appeared to harass Aloria's Chosen during their second visit to the area that would eventually become the Nucleus. Following its defeat, its twin sought vengeance against those responsible.

Gameplay[edit]
The Keeper of Memories is a powerful Taken Hydra that possesses the standard armaments and abilities of its kind, alongside several additional attacks, including Axion Dart Swarm and Blight Bomb. It can teleport, summon Taken reinforcements and Blights, and defend itself using rotating shields.
Its greatest threat comes from its ability to establish an Oppressive Darkness Zone, severely restricting the survivability of its opponents. The Keeper can also summon Oracles that inflict Pervading Darkness if they are not destroyed in time. Players must eliminate these Oracles while simultaneously managing the Keeper's attacks and its accompanying Taken forces.
During River of Shadow, the Keeper initially confronts the party within the Water Facility before withdrawing, leaving Kezh'ir, Hand of Salvation, to impede their pursuit. Following Kezh'ir's defeat, Taken Blights spread throughout the Nucleus and Druidic Grove, eventually leading the party into the Ascendant Plane.
The final confrontation takes place within the Ascendant Nucleus, a much larger battlefield that allows the Keeper to make extensive use of its reinforcements, Blights, and ranged attacks. The Keeper emerges from a massive Taken Blight to engage the party, with Vernia, Trusted of Rikia, joining the battle as an ally. Players must contend with the Keeper's oppressive abilities and Oracle mechanics while navigating the increasingly chaotic arena.
Trivia[edit]
