Darkshroud Minotaurs are Vex Minotaurs encountered in the Defensive Darkness encounter, where they must be defeated in order to collect Sparks of Light in order to expand Wells of Light and repel the malign darkness within the Hall of Onyx.

Gameplay

After the elimination of a few Timeworn Vex units, one of these Minotaurs will spawn in within the arena. These units will mostly be on the move to avoid confrontation with the Guardians, using their agility and their darkened frames to remain elusive. In order to properly kill them, Guardians first must break their shields with any attack from an Aegis, with three of them spawning in the arena. These units will drop a spark of light, which must be then deposited into one of the scattered wells of light in the arena to expand them and repel the darkness, getting closer to properly completing the encounter.
