'''Anziluu, the Ravenous''' is an [[Ascendant Hive|Ascendant]] [[Hive]] [[Wizard]] and [[Prince]] of [[Savathûn, the Witch Queen|Savathûn]]. Born in his notoriety of a ravenous hunger, Anziluu would be known as a powerful prophet, using his counteracting abilities to his mother to spread truth through her endless lies with the [[Forum:Cryptonomicon|Cryptonomicon]] while consuming the souls and lives of those around him. 

His plans to undermine his own worm's hunger would persist throughout the years by corrupting the Vex Network from Io with the assistance of [[Quria, Blade Transform]] in order to locate their endless simulations to conquering [[Forum:Deimos|Deimos]] in order to lay his own eyes on the system. His plans would ultimately culminate in the creation and management of the Weave of Fate.

==Biography==
===The Helium Bane===

Anziluu was born as a nameless [[Thrall]] within the group that Savathûn had spawned from the corpse of the [[Helium King]]. The batch was dubbed the Helium Bane in defiance to the now dead Helium King and they would terrorize any of the survivors of the [[Helium Court]]. However, one of the nameless Thrall would devour his brothers and sisters due to a curse on his [[Worm]] planted by his mother to learn more about how far a worm's hunger could go and if it could be stopped before disaster could strike. She would also use the Thrall as her own device to circumvent her lies to be spoken to the rest of the broods. 

Along with the curse of a ravenous Worm, Savathûn had placed a second curse on her son. This curse was that of great insight and the ability to transcend the boundaries of fate to the point of weaving it. He earned the moniker of the Oracle, Ravenous due to his nature of insight and the hunger of his worm. 

The Thrall would grow to become a [[Wizard]] and would be granted the name Anziluu by his mother, meaning abomination in the Hive tongue. Sometime prior to the defeat of the [[Ammonite]]s, Anziluu would suffer his first death, and his soul would be if not the first to transcend into the [[Ascendant Realm|Ascendant Plane]]. He noted how it was a realm molded by desire and willpower, claiming said power would become useful later on. He set upon himself to create his own [[Forum:Court of Anziluu|Court]], an ever-changing domain that circumvents the power of fate for tribute to feed.

===Influenced from Within===

It was Anziluu that decreed the destruction of the [[Qugu]] civilization, knowing all to well that the mountain that the Qugu were in fact living around a dormant [[Pyramid]] that had been left on Seht an untold age before the Hive's arrival. He desired to use an estranged tactic of using overwhelming force, one that would be used in later conquests by Xivu Arath, by opening a massive rift over Seht and sent a massive fleet of Hive ships. As the Hive forces invaded Seht from the sky, Anziluu sought whatever knowledge the Qugu had as he noted and would catalogue their usage of the Darkness in communions with the Pyramid. With this newfound knowledge, he entered one of these communions of the Qugu elders, slaughtering them all and implanting a disease upon the jaw-beasts that would  lead to a swift extinction of not only the jaw-beasts but the Qugu civilization as a whole. 

Anziluu was present as one of the conspirators who despised the Hive progenitors for showing weakness to their kin, knowing that his plan against the Qugu weakened Savathûn's flank against [[Oryx, the Taken King|Auryx]]. He would eventually watch as Auryx slew his mother and Xivu Arath, using their collective power to kill [[Akka, the Worm of Secrets|Akka]], commune with the [[Darkness|Deep]] and ascending as Oryx, the Taken King. He watched as he tricked the Ecumene, slaughtering them with the powers of the Deep and using said trickery to conjure Savathûn back from death. He would help with the creation of the new tithe system for Oryx, who had taken the idea for himself. Anziluu had Oryx construct this tithe system with a great weakness, without the source of tithes, the Taken King would become weak.

===The Great Plan===

After Crota had cut a seam through the Ascendant Realm, unleashing the Vex into Oryx's Throneworld and by effect, our universe, Savathûn conspired with Anziluu stating to him a plan she had in store. She made a claim that the Vex are beings of probability and have the potential of infinite wisdom. This gave Anziluu the bright idea to claim a Vex Mind in order to contemplate a solution to his worm's ravenous hunger. He studied how the Vex operated with their machines and how they tried to simulate the power of the Ascendant Plane. His actions of Worm worship likely helped the Vex create Quria, Blade Transform, whether intentionally or not. 

When the Hive made contact with the [[Harmony]], [[Xivu Arath, God of War|Xivu Arath]] was forced to fight against their Wishful Bishops. However, Savathûn and Anziluu had a different idea on how to face them. The God of Truth infiltrated the Harmony species and began to preach the teachings of the Sword Logic and the [[Final Shape]] as a means to corrupt and weaken their minds against the Hive. During his infiltration, he would learn of Quria's trap that it had left to Oryx. Instead of informing the King, he allowed Oryx to fall directly into the trap as a means to get hold of Quria for himself. 

Eventually, Oryx would Take and gift the Blade Transform to Savathûn. As she used Quria to funnel power into a black hole, Anziluu also used the Dreaming Mind to contemplate an answer, however, the answer was beyond what the Mind could even predict, only telling him that whatever he sought could be found when the time was right. However, he wouldn't leave the Dreaming Mind without learning from it. He saw that the Mind emulated the powers of Oryx by creating a perfect simulation of the Taken King. He devised that the Mind itself could not Take nor did it have power in itself, but it could create said power. Eventually, through much effort, he learned to commune with the Deep from the Dreaming Mind and use the power for his own schemes. 

Using the power he learned from Quria, he would finally make a communion with the voice behind the Deep, the [[The Witness|Witness]]. He proclaimed it was a gestalt being with many faces and speaks with familiar voices, but spoke to him in its one true self. He proclaimed he would be its servant, explaining his prophetic future of the Hive, something that he believed the Witness could use and manipulate to its own whims. He decreed that he would follow the wishes of the Witness, but explained that in order to further their plans, their allegiances would have to waver between the Witch and the [[Disciples of the Witness|Disciples]].

However his words were but half truths as he knew the threat that the Witness would pose if it enacted the Final Shape. He proclaimed that the universe was a violent stream of untapped knowledge and truth, from which he would later discover it to be the Weave of Fate, which likely is the same as the Weave from which Strand originates but is instead the very foundations from which mind and matter exists along the timeline. He would seek to preserve it within his throne world and established the Cult of Anziluu to preserve and protect it. 

Around this time he would also create his twin daughters, Xaniith and Kamuul. He would command his Daughters to assist Quria in examining the Ecumene's Black Hole and to further the plans of Savathûn and her own research. The Mind and his daughters would construct the [[Forum:Abhorrent Singularity|Abhorrent Singularity]], a dimension that resides within a Black Hole that exists outside of the material and Ascendant Plane. Anziluu would use the singularity as a place to conduct his experiments where he dared not to unleash chaos into Apocrypha.

At some unknown point, Anziluu, with the assistance of a fellow Wizard by the name of [[Forum:Zâtrox, the Necromancer|Zâtrox]], would create a powerful tome known as the [[Forum:Cryptonomicon|Cryptonomicon]]. While it was originally created to help circumvent the many lies of his mother, the tome seemingly grew a mind of its own, pulling various pieces of knowledge gathered within Anziluu's Throne World. He would later find out that writing the various scriptures into the tome, he had inadvertently turned it into a miniature [[Oversoul]] of sorts, splintering part of his soul and making the Cryptonomicon a part of him.

===Deimos' Veil===

Whether during the Golden Age, Collapse or Dark Age, Anziluu's forces would invade the Martian moon, Deimos, overtaking it and converting it into a breeding ground and pseudo-War moon. Anziluu would also have his Hive construct a [[Ascendant Portal|Rupture]] deep below Deimos that connects to his realm. He would also learn of an [[Forum:The Deimian Pyramid|ancient]] [[Pyramid]] that was left abandoned deep below the chasms of Deimos at an unknown point in time.

During the Dark Age, Cabal forces of an unknown detachment would invade Deimos and attempt to seize it from the Hive. This assault against the Cult led to a near-total loss of their forces when Anziluu himself appeared on the battlefield and slaughtered the Cabal to satiate his hunger. The Cabal would be forced into a retreat, leaving their bases barren and open to the Hive, which would in turn lead to the expungement of the detachment from all Cabal records. Anziluu would have his Hive invade the barren Cabal bases on Deimos and plunder them of Cabal secrets. Unknown to most, the Cabal were so entirely evicerated by Anziluu's forces to the point that Anziluu himself would erase the battle against the Cabal and the existence of the Legion from the Weave of Fate. 

Following the successful battle against the Cabal, Anziluu would craft ancient tomes of knowledge which detailed events throughout space and even time. These tomes however would drive any unsuspecting readers into an inevitable servitude to Anziluu. These subjugated would be known as the Scribes of Anzû, being named after one of Anziluu's aliases.

===Echoes of Io===

Anziluu would eventually set his eyes onto Io, the last place the Traveler had graced with its Light before retreating to Earth. He would send hordes of Taken to the Jovian moon to sequester any remnant Light. With his knowledge of navigating the Ascendant Planes, studies of Quria and experiments within the Abhorrent Singularity, Anziluu would successfully create a pocket within the Ascendant Plane from which he could command and send forth Hive and Taken to Io and so that he could keep a constant watch on the Jovian moon. 

He would watch as the forces of the [[Red Legion]] also sought out the remnant Light from Io and would strike at them with great force. While the Taken forces weren't able to push the Cabal back from the rifts into the Ascendant pocket, Anziluu knew that he could learn from the Cabal in this way. He understood that the Cabal learned how to take the Light from their own battles against Oryx and his Taken. When a band of Guardians arrived on the moon to stop the Cabal's efforts of taking the Ionian Light, Anziluu instructed some of Quria's Taken to implode the moon by fully corrupting its core with Blight. The Guardians would eventually prevail against the Taken, stopping Anziluu's plans of imploding Io.

Anziluu was not done with Io however, as he sought more information from both the [[Pyramidion]] and the [[Warmind Vault JYS-2|Warmind Vault]]. He would first send the Taken towards the Warmind Vault to scour any intel around [[Rasputin]]. As the Guardians would venture into the Warmind Vault to obtain intel on the [[The Almighty|Almighty]], they would come across the forces of the [[Modular Upsilon]], one of Anziluu's Taken Minotaurs, and swiftly put an end to the Hive Prince's plans with the Warmind. 

In order to access the Pyramidion without earning the eyre of the Vex, Anziluu sought to Take the Vex by using the Blights across Io and use said Blights and Taken to invade the Vex Network from the Pyramidion. He would employ [[Ir Arok, Tongue of Quria|Ir Arok]], a servant of Quria, to corrupt the Vex by entangling and short circuiting the Vex within Blights and consuming them in the Darkness to Take them. While his efforts were not in vein due to the Guardian's interfering by destroying the Blights and ending Ir Arok, Anziluu was however able to push some of the Taken into the Network and the Pyramidion.

===Scarlet Inquisition===

It was believed that Malkanth knew of the one trick conceived by Anziluu that would become the failure of Hive's tribute system and therefore the Sword Logic. This drew the attention of Anziluu who would secretly teach her of the heretical art of the [[Inquisition of Self]] to transfer the essence of a Hive into a new vessel. Unbeknownst to Malkanth, he knew what she planned to do with the ritual and the consequences and ruin that would follow, withholding the fate of the siblings from the aspiring cultist. 

As they conducted the ritual and transferred the essence of [[Akrazul, the Severed]] into [[Ir Airâm, Deathsinger|Azavath]], the mighty Knight now Wizard was driven into a frenzy by the whispers of Savathûn and slaughtered Malkanth. Anziluu would withhold her essence to be judged upon by the Witch Queen. He would later watch as Akrazul massacred the Hive of the pit and the Daughters of Crota slaughtering any contenders for leadership above. 

When Akrazul was slaughtered by Azavath, who now inhabited the body of the late Malkanth, Anziluu would steal away his essence and inquired with him his own plans and future potential of the "former" severed Knight. Akrazul stood defiant to Anziluu, remarking him as a mere pawn to the Witch Queen. Anziluu inquired that what he had planned would have nothing to do with the Witch Queen and that the former severed Knight had no choice but to join him.

===Interfering the Interference===

Shortly before the arrival of the Black Fleet, Anziluu would construct a small pocket of the Ascendant Plane with the assistance of Quria. He would use this plane as a distraction from his mother's interference, keep the Guardians from understanding the Witness' communications and to personally Take them in order to survive what was inevitably to come. 

Shortly after the Guardians understood the Witness' first message, Drifter believed that it was an opportune time to collect more Taken for his [[Gambit]], detecting a massive insurgence of them coming from a portal leading to the [[Forum:Witch's Entropy (location)|Witch's Entropy]]. He would send a fireteam of Guardians to investigate and colllect the Taken, against the wishes of [[Eris Morn]] who saw these Taken as a threat to understanding the Black Fleet. Anziluu would instruct two of his commanders, the [[Forum:High Celebrant of Anziluu|High Celebrant of Anziluu]] and the [[Forum:The Ravenous Eye|Ravenous Eye]] to trap and claim the Guardians for Anziluu to Take.

The Guardians would cut through the Taken of Anziluu and his commanders, deeply angering Anziluu to the point in which he would send one of his [[Forum:Echo of Anziluu|Echoes]] to personally see to the Taking of the Guardians. They would however successfully trap the Echo within one of the outfitted Gambit [[Bank (Gambit)|Bank]]s, stopping Anziluu's efforts for his own interference of the Black Fleet and actions of his mother.

===Tempting the Abhorrent===

Shortly after Mercury, Mars, Io and Titan were claimed by the Black Fleet of the Witness, Anziluu would seek to further corrupt the broken Hive leadership to his cause. He would seek to influence the minds of a Wizard coven that had formed from the malcontent broods within the [[Cosmodrome]]. Under the sway of Anziluu, this cult of the damned would establish a new brood in service to God of Truth, known as the [[Forum:Abhorrent Brood|Abhorrent Brood]].

His control over the now established Abhorrent Brood did not come without consequence however, as one of the members of the cult broke away, seeking to establish her own control over the Hive. She would make herself known as [[Navôta, Eir Spawn|Navôta]] and use her brutal methods of torture to kill two Guardians, [[Caster-3]] and [[Maeve]], which earned the eyre of newly resurrected Guardians to hunt her down and to reveal the Abhorrent Brood to the forces of the [[Vanguard]]. However, her numerous attempts at escape left many of the Hive's fortifications in ruins as Guardians sought to corner the spawn of Eir. The destruction of these broodholds left her disgraced by the Cosmodrome Hive to the point that in order to cull any more traitors, Anziluu sent [[Ak-Baral, Rival of Navôta|Ak-Baral]] to hunt down other Hive within the Abhorrent Brood that sought to defect.

===The Witch's Lie===

Following the destruction of Quria, Anziluu sought to consolidate the remaining forces of Savathûn's Hive into his service, despite his mother's own contingencies. He would have a falling out with [[Savathûn's Right Hand]], claiming that he now had the ultimate authority over her broods now that Savathûn had outwardly abandoned the Hive and to have the [[Techeun]]s of Queen [[Mara Sov]] to exorcise her Worm. In a fit of rage, Anziluu would kill the remaining members of Savathûn's inner circle, all except for the Right Hand, claiming that if the Witch Queen's plans were to be fulfilled, it would be the Right Hand's choice for its success or failure. 

Despite the objections, Anziluu sought to stop the ritual by capturing the remaining Techeuns. He would successfully lead one of them into a trap and question them through immense torture by slowly tearing the gems from her forehead. She would claim that the ritual could not be stopped, but she would warn Anziluu that the arrival of [[Xivu Arath, God of War|Xivu Arath]] was imminent as during his questioning, a visage of the [[Black Terrace]] appeared in the distance, with Xivu Arath watching over them. Anziluu sought to personally disrupt the efforts of the Guardians in the ritual itself, speaking out to them and claiming that the wrath of the Black Terrace would fall upon them as Xivu Arath would summon [[Kelgorath, Risen from Bones|Kelgorath]] within the [[Ritual Spire]].

===A Failed Alliance===
During the [[Lucent War]], the forces of the Anhorrent Brood sought to forge an alliance with the [[Forum:Weavers of Sorrow|Weavers of Sorrow]]. [[Forum:Shin'ra, the Sorrow-Maker|Shin'ra]], the leader of the Weavers, would send one of his own ambassadors to speak with the leaders of the Abhorrent Brood, unbeknownst to the fact that Anziluu was their true leader. This communion would fall short when the Vanguard would learn of this mass ritual of communion and orchestrated a [[Forum:Takedown in the Abhorrent Depths|Takedown]] to end the ritual between the two broods. The failure of the communion dismayed the Abhorrent Brood from allying with the Weavers, which inevitably led to the banishment of the Weaver's forces by Anziluu himself from the loss of potential tribute. He would then speak to Shin'ra personally that he was owed tribute for said loss and if he isn't given what he is owed, Anziluu would eventually take Shin'ra's life for himself, with the Sorrow-Maker laughing in response.
