:Unfortunately for the Guardians, no. The Taken can hang around indefinitely until someone kills them all, so any Taken that Oryx made before he died are still an active threat. The Hive aren't created by Oryx like the Taken, they're living organisms that can grow and reproduce on their own, so while Oryx's death deprives them of leadership and direction, they are far from in danger of going extinct. Even if we kill all the Hive in the Solar System, Oryx's sisters and their armies are still out in the universe and might show up on our doorstep one day.
