'''Macheus, Cryptographic Mind''' is a [[Vex Mind]] of the [[Nessian Schism]] tasked with sorting data and erasing unwanted strands. It is encountered as one of the four Secret [[Strangelet Capsule]]-guarding world bosses of [[The Edge of Fate]]'s Mythic difficulty campaign.

==Gameplay==
Macheus is encountered within [[The Gorge]] in the room where [[The Guardian]] obtains [[Matterspark]] II. It can be summoned by using [[Graviton Spike]] to open a Graviton Plant and destroying the [[Stasis]] crystal within to stop a gear from turning, then charging the [[Vex Pylon]] within. Then destroying the [[Vex Lens]] that has now spawned.

Macheus will summon three strings of data entries (signified by purple diamonds above Macheus's spawn point), spawn in, then after a few seconds activate a [[Matterspark]] [[Bane]] shield and begin Oracle Arbitration. Oracle Arbitration is a thirteen second countdown that targets the six [[Oracle]]s that spawn above the area and once the countdown completes, a data entry will be deleted or each Oracle that was not destroyed. If three Oracles are arbitrated throughout the course of the encounter, Macheus and its incursion will flee and the Lens will respawn, allowing for the encounter to be retried.

To prevent Macheus's fleeing, enough Oracles must be destroyed so that there's at least one data entry left by the time Oracle Arbitration completes. Macheus's shield can be brought down it damaged at any point of the encounter, with it restarting its Oracle Arbitration for the first two thirds of its health that are lost. If its health reaches below these points while an arbitration is ongoing, it will wait until the arbitration finishes and then immediately begin another one. 

To quickly destroy the Oracles to minimize or outright nullify Oracle Arbitration, a weapon that has quick burst damage is recommended, with the most consistent and popular choice being [[Choir of One]].
