==Dregs==
Soldiers of the lowest rank among the Fallen.

[[Dreg/Rising|Dregs]] are soldiers who, in a traditional ritual used for humiliation and submission, have a pair of arms cut off. Driven by a mixture of shame and ambition, they tend to be very aggressive in battle, but lacking the protection of fine equipment, only a lucky few survive to be promoted and allowed to regrow their arms.

Some higher-ranking Fallen officers who suffer major defeats are also punished by having their arms cut off and being demoted to Dregs.

==Wretches==
Lower-ranked Fallen soldiers who wield [[Arc/Rising|Arc]]-enhanced [[Arc Spear/Rising|spears]].

These Fallen have been stripped even of the right to hide behind cover. Armed with only a spear, all they can do is charge at their enemies head-on. [[Wretch/Rising|Wretches]] may have slightly stronger protection than the Dregs, but they end up dying in even greater numbers.

==Shanks==
Small combat drones made by the Fallen.

As a race proficient in electronics and engineering, the Fallen often use various kinds of electromechanical combat units. These multifunctional drones have a variety of uses ranging from scouting to providing supporting fire and baiting out enemies. A single [[Shank/Rising|Shank]] is usually easily dealt with, but when they swarm together, they pose quite the threat.

==Tracer Shanks==
A type of Shank equipped with a [[Wire Rifle/Rising|wire rifle]].

[[Tracer Shank/Rising|Tracer Shanks]] can fire from especially long distances and unexpected angles, and they're also capable of easily bypassing cover. Nevertheless, they are still very fragile.

==Exploder Shank==
A special kind of Shank that self-destructs, dealing immense damage to the Fallen's foes.

Shanks are largely treated as expendable, destroyed nearly just as quickly as they are unleashed and typically usable only once. In some cases, however, they are not completely scrapped, and because repairing them would not be worth the resources, Fallen engineers "recycle" damaged Shanks and load them with high-power explosives. They are then re-deployed in battle, where they serve their House one last time in the form of a suicide attack.

==Vandals==
Soldiers that have a slightly higher status in the Fallen society than Dregs.

The [[Shock Rifle/Rising|Shock Rifles]] that [[Vandal/Rising|Vandals]] wield have a longer range than normal rifles, making them quite formidable marksmen, and their four arms enable some of them to use melee weapons for self-defense.

They are the main force of the Fallen, but they are also just normal soldiers. In a head-on firefight, they aren't much tougher than the Dregs.

==Marksmen==
Fallen troops that snipe their enemies from a distance.

The harsh environments experienced by the Eliksni during the [[Long Drift/Rising|Long Drift]] caused them to gradually abandon their civilized nature and traditions, and in the early days, hatchlings with birth defects were left behind. However, some were unwilling to succumb to their fate, instead picking up the heavy wire rifles and training their marksmanship tirelessly. In the end, their shocking accuracy won them their Houses' acceptance.

The deep-rooted discrimination they face often distorts their psyche, and they see hunting prey as a way to vent their frustrations.

==Marauder==
Comparatively tall Fallen who have the standard four arms.

These underhanded warriors wield cloaking technology and melee weapons, sneaking onto the battlefield and delivering deadly strikes to unsuspecting enemies. Their combat style leads to a higher survival rate compared to other Fallen units, which is why many [[Captain/Rising|Captains]] are promoted from [[Marauder/Rising|Marauder]].

==Captain==
Elite warriors who command the Fallen troops in battle on the front lines.

Captains oversee troops during designated combat missions or personally lead Vandals and Marauders during attacks. They typically have the finest weapons and armor and are equipped with shield generators and short-distance teleportation devices, making them much tougher to take down.

Despite being "fallen," some of the honor and pride of the nobility of Old [[Riis/Rising|Riis]] can still be seen in these brave warriors.

==Bruisers==
Fierce warriors seen as "[[Ketch/Rising|Ketchkillers]]."

During the Long Drift, Fallen society became one where the strong preyed on the weak. The [[Bruisers/Rising|Bruisers]] were highly praised for how they bravely charged forward in combat, especially their leaders, who were skilled at close-quarters fighting. To show off their martial prowess, many Bruisers intentionally wear little armor. This choice symbolizes their confidence in their strength and technique, but it also serves a practical purpose, as their lightweight equipment lets them maximize propulsion and transmission device efficiency. This greatly improves ambush speed, enabling these warriors to tear through enemy defenses at lightning speed.

==Brigands==
Fallen equipped with [[Scorch Cannon/Rising|Scorch Cannons]] and heavy armor.

These extremely selfish warriors force their underlings to act as flesh shields, firing slow but deadly explosives from the rear and deliberately avoiding any close range risks. The Bruisers may hate them, but the [[Brigand/Rising|Brigands]]' high survival rate proves time and time again that the brutal strategy of treating subordinates as expendable is not without its merits.

==Servitors==
Large, spherical, floating machines that act as the Fallen's support units in combat.

[[Servitor/Rising|Servitors]] have an important place in Fallen religion, and they are no less useful in combat. These semi-intelligent, floating machines can fire large [[Void/Rising|Void]] energy projectiles or even high-energy [[Solar/Rising|Solar]] rays to scorch their foes. But more importantly, Servitors offer assistance to nearby Fallen combat units, for instance, providing shields that absorb damage. When Servitors appear on the battlefield, their impact is often greater than their individual efforts.

==Heavy Shanks==
A variant of Shank capable of providing Fallen troops with heavier firepower.

During the Long Drift, a lack of resources forced the Fallen to recycle waste materials. This gave rise to the development of unconventional technologies such as [[Heavy Shank/Rising|Heavy Shanks]], which combines standard Shank configurations with shells made from fragments of destroyed Servitors. With the [[Splicers/Rising|Splicers]]' technology, once-sacred machines are given new life.

==Prime Servitors==
The "deities" worshiped by Fallen Houses.

[[Prime Servitor/Rising|Prime Servitors]] play a vital role in the religion and logistics of the Fallen Houses. They can transform matter and energy into [[Ether/Rising|Ether]] on which the Fallen depend. Their powerful computing abilities also make them critical to the Fallen's space travel, usually serving as navigators on long interstellar voyages. The vessel piloted by the navigating [[Kell/Rising|Kell]] is often honored with the name of the House's Prime Servitor.

==Walkers==
Six-legged, self-propelled tanks equipped with a full arsenal, making them adaptable to a variety of battlefields.

The [[Walker/Rising|Walkers]]' front-mounted Arc machine guns can carry out high-speed strafing with wide coverage, while the heavy gun on top fires highly explosive Solar ammunition to strike large areas. The missile silo on the side of the main gun can fire a barrage of small missiles to counter aerial threats, and as a form of self-defense, they can create a wide-range Arc pulse to repel enemies in their blind spots. What's more, they are also capable of being carried on Skiffs for rapid deployment on the battlefield. All of these factors combined make them veritable ultimate war machines.

==Pikes==
Single-seat ground vehicles used by the Fallen.

[[Pike/Rising|Pikes]] are usually armed with two Arc machine guns firing high-velocity rounds, while some [[Heavy Pike/Rising|heavy Pikes]] are also fitted with grenade launchers. The Pike's specialized engine allows it to perform extremely nimble accelerations and rolls. Because of their mobility, the Fallen often ride Pikes in packs for looting purposes. In large-scale battles, however, they are typically used for distracting and flanking enemies.

==Skiffs==
Small yet speedy aircraft created by the Fallen.

Normally kept at bases or inside larger vessels, [[Skiff/Rising|Skiffs]] can be used to rapidly deploy combat units, including soldiers and Walkers, for battle. In addition to their use as cargo ships, Skiffs are equipped with two Arc plasma cannons as well as grenade launchers, letting them provide air support for Fallen soldiers in combat. Skiffs may have an aerial advantage in battles against [[Human/Rising|humans]], but their threat can be reduced by destroying their main cannons-provided ground firepower is sufficient.

==Ketches==

Having lived solely within these giant starfaring ships throughout the centuries of the Long Drift, many generations of the Fallen consider the Ketches their home. In fact, in the language of the Fallen, "Ketch" and "family" are the same word.

Though most of the Ketches have fallen into disrepair after long periods of interstellar travel, they still have a great deal of significance in Fallen culture.

The Ketches may be homes to the Fallen, but to other races, they are seen as powerful space-sailing warships. Their massive hulls house not only Fallen, but also various attack vessels like Skiffs and Walkers. A Ketch's arrival on a battlefield is akin to the arrival of an army.
