The Generalist Shell is a Common rarity Ghost shell introduced in Destiny and was the first Ghost Shell in the franchise. It would be added to Destiny 2 in Season of the Undying at an Uncommon rarity. It is the default Ghost shell given to new Guardians.

Trivia[edit]

Up until the release of The Taken King, the Generalist Shell and the Frontier Shell were the only two Ghost shells in the game.
As of Season of the Chosen, the shell appears duplicated in the API.
- This is likely due to the fact there are 2 versions of the shell in game, the one given to players at the beginning of A Guardian Rises, which has no mod slots or masterwork capabilities, and the one pulled from the Collections tab, which does have mod slots and masterwork capabilities.
If one applies the Throne of Soot Shader to the Generalist Shell, it will make it appear as a worn down version of the shell.
- On another note, if one applies the Up for Grabs Shader to the Generalist Shell, it will make it appear as a more polished version of the shell.
