The Locus of Whispers is a Taken Chimera and the final obstacle of the Beckoning Whispers encounter of the Obsidian Acropolis, requiring the mastery of the Taken Essence to eliminate.

Gameplay

Upon the destruction of enough Vector of Whispers and Archaic Taken, the Locus of Whispers will appear and confront the Guardians. Initially protected by an immune shield, Guardians must once again procure a Taken Essence from an Attendant of Whispers, charge up the super function and unleash it against the Chimera to make it vulnerable to attack. Over time, the Chimera will protect itself with shield blights every once in a while, requiring a Taken Essence's grenade function in order to destroy them and render the Chimera vulnerable once more. The encounter ends with the Locus of Whispers' elimination.
