The '''Gray Wars''' was one of the biggest conflicts in the [[Fallen|Eliksni]]'s history, rivaling that of the [[Reef Wars]]. The conflict started around in the aftermath of the [[Whirlwind]], between the [[Forum:House of Lions|House of Lions]] and the [[Forum:House of Sky|House of Sky]].

==Prelude==
===The Whirlwind===
Both the House of Lions and the House of Sky were two powerful Houses amongst the Eliksni during their golden age. The House of Lions were known for being knights and crusaders, having many star systems in their control and were close allies to the [[House of Judgment]], acting as their protectors. House of Sky were known for their fleets and renown pilots in Eliksni's history, but was hesitant with [[The Traveler]], believing it to be a beacon for something [[The Witness|sinister]]. When the [[Whirlwind]] occurred, many of the Lions worked with the [[House of Stone]] to help evacuate their planet, but was battered after the event and left to one of their star systems and hid out in [[Forum:Striviis|Striviis]], leaving many to believe that the House of Lions had perished. Meanwhile the House of Sky were already leaving when the Whirlwind began, hitting them by surprise and decimating a portion of the House while the rest abandoned them to their death and escaped into the unknown, leaving the [[Forum:Kell of Sky|Kell of Sky]] distraught. 

[[Forum:Skevsis, the Prowling|Skevsis, the Prowling]], a renown noble within the House of Lions, and the leader of the clandestine [[Forum:Vanishing Claw|Vanishing Claw]], plotted the downfall of [[Forum:Yorvik, Kell of Lions|Yorvik]], the Kell of Lions, out of jealousy, and wished to become his House's next Kell. Skevsis would discover the House of Sky traveling through their system and began his plan of overthrowing Yorvik by luring the Sky towards Striviis and take over their planet to instigate a war. He was able convince the Kell of Sky to invade the planet and slaughter and capture numerous Lions before setting up their lair, catching Yorvik by surprise, leading him to declare war, beginning the Gray Wars.

==Courses over the War==
===Battle of Striviis===
As the wars began, many of the Lions would battle out against the Fallen Sky, both sides equaling each other with their strength, numbers, and resources, fighting mostly in the jungles of Striviis with some battles happening within the atmosphere and within the rings of the planet. As the wars continued a stalemate would form as the Sky would fortified their position on Striviis and their Kell going into hiding, using their ships to push back the Lions back into the rings of Striviis and forming a massive blockade to keep them out, weakening the Lions' chances to get back into the planet. 

However, the stalemate would soon be broken by a rag-tag gang of freelance Fallen from the Lions, known as the [[Forum:Crimson Fangs|Crimson Fangs]], whom would slip into Sky's fortifications and destabilized the Sky's barricade and allowed the Lions to return to form a beachhead back onto Striviis, utilizing the broken-in base that the Skybreakers used. With the problem out of the way, the Lions would send out their forces to hunt down the Sky's leadership and eliminate them in order to break the Sky's morale, spearheaded by the Skybreakers themselves. This would result in most of the Sky's nobility diminishing from assassination hits headed by the Crimson Fangs, leading to [[Forum:Raviks Prime|Raviks Prime]], the Sky Prime Servitor, to be taken into obscurity from the Lions to prevent its destruction. However, despite the loss of their nobility, the House of Sky continued on through the Kell of Sky's leadership, seeing this, the Lions would soon attempt to locate the Kell in order to finally break the Sky House. Assisted by one of their own [[Forum:Grayvris|spies]], they would search and found the House of Sky's main lair and their Kell, finding this opportunity, Yorvik would bring and combine all of his forces for the final assault against the House of Sky. Blanketing themselves away from tracking of Sky, and jamming any Sky comm signals to alert of an attack, Yorvik and his fleet would break into the Sky's lair and sneak attacked the House of Sky from within their lair. Which resulted in the forests of Striviis to be almost completely wiped out and the death of the Kell of Sky, finally breaking the House of Sky once and for all.
