They tend to be more elusive, occasionally sending out a larger range Transverse Reed. They can melee a target with an additional knock-back ability to counter any melee-based attacker but with the added note of ''Suspending'' all hit by it. On occasion, instead of sending out multiple Transverse Reeds, they will charge up and cast their Psionic Powers to conjure several Threadling Nests on important devices and equipment to lock it. These Nests can be only be destroyed by killing via Empowerment from Special [[Attendant]]s or [[Weaver]]s summoned by the Flayer, however doing so releases 4-5 Threadlings per nest. Once a third of their health is lost, they will call for [[Shadow Legion]] [[Psion Commander]]s to come to their aid, shielding them from all fire as well as calling for more resilient backup. The shield must be destroyed by eliminating the [[Shadow Legion]] [[Psion Commander]]s in the area in a similar fashion to how a [[Councilor]] is supposed to be killed. Once all Commanders are killed, the Flayer will be open to damage once again.
