The Cradles are massive bowl-shaped structures created by the Traveler. There is a Cradle located on at least Io and Mars, if not every world terraformed by the Traveler in the Sol System.
Prior to being subdued by the Black Fleet, the Traveler fired a beam of Light at one of the Pyramids of the Fleet, causing its surface to deform into a circular structure strongly resembling a Cradle, with a gigantic white tree at its center.
