I think the Leviathan-Eater should be considered ascendant based on "FAVORED HARBINGER OF XIVU ARATH" ... i can understand the lack of a source to say it's 100% but Xivu having her favored harbinger not being Ascendant would be ridicolous. There should be military ranks among the Ascendant Hive, like at least make the Warpriest a general or admiral while Ecthar, Sword of Oryx a lieutenant -- Titan66 (talk) 20:19, 02 November 2016 (EDT)

:Military ranks among the Hive are irrelevant. Their rank is based on how much they have killed and how much Light they've tithed to Oryx. Those titles appended to their names (e.g. Sword of Oryx) indicates they were named such because of their battle prowess. Essentially, Ascendant Hive *are* generals, Princes as it were, leading their own broods. Well, technically, they could. But those that don't lead broods lead Oryx's hordes to battle. --Dante the Ghost (talk) 20:41, 2 November 2016 (EDT)

:I respect your opinion, but I still think there should be ranks in the Ascendant Hive. But if you disagree with me and let it stays as it is that's fine as well -- Titan66 (talk) 21:15, 02 November 2016 (EDT)
:Of course, but the Grimoire doesn't indicate the Hive having a typical or standard military rank structure. The closest to an organized military in Destiny is the Cabal, and only the Fallen come close to having organization based on that. It is even stated as such. So there's that. --Dante the Ghost (talk) 21:21, 2 November 2016 (EDT)
