Sjari and twelve other new Techeuns met with Petra and [[Sedia]] in the [[Blind Well]] to begin their search for Mara. Wielding the [[Wayfinder's Compass]], the Techeuns traveled a Ley Line to the distant edge of [[Sol System|Sol]], where they met with Mara. However, due to [[Austyn]] accidentally witnessing the [[Black Terrace]] before their search for Mara, [[Xivu Arath, God of War|Xivu Arath]] was able to track the group, forcing Mara Sov to shatter the Ley Line behind them. After the Techeuns managed to send Mara Sov through the Ley Lines to the Dreaming City, Sjari and the other Techeuns became stranded within the Ascendant Realm. Eventually Sjari would spend two weeks hiding against a crumbling wall. As [[Taken Psion]]s would search for her, she would enter a deep meditative state for hours at a time, until her hunger and thirst became too great to ignore. Eventually she heard the sounds of someone fighting the [[Taken]] with a [[Fusion Rifle]] nearby, and she focused on calming her mind so she would go unnoticed. However, Mara whispered into her mind that help was on the way, giving Sjari hope.<ref name="Iota Draconis"/>
