The '''Imperium Rifle''' is the main battle rifle of the [[Barant Imperium]], utilized by its [[Legionary]], [[Psion]] and [[Centurion]] troops. 

==Overview==
The Imperium Rifle functions much like a [[Slug Rifle]], albeit the technology powering it is significantly more advanced. The Imperium Rifle eschews the solid, ballistics-limited rounds of its [[Cabal]] counterpart in favor of being a direct-energy weapon, allowing users to fire further in a straight line. The characteristic firing sound further separates it from its counterpart. The rifle comes in two sizes, for Psion and for Barant soldiers.

*This weapon's firing sound and function is based on the [https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/E-11_medium_blaster_rifle E-11 medium blaster rifle] from Star Wars.
*In earlier promotional images, the Imperium Rifle was much more similar to the Slug Rifle, essentially being a Slug Rifle with the Imperium Rifle's barrel on top.  Potential reference to the much earlier design of pre-release Destiny 1 Slug Rifles with the longer barrels and bayonets.
