The Realms of Glass is a location deep inside the Aincrad Vault of Glass discovered and used by Hannah Ciel as a safehouse for those who couldn't make it off Earth in time. A bare five thousand people and precious few Guardians eke out a tenacious existence here, tracking down unstable clarketech devices in the hopes something could help them escape the nightmare that is Aincrad.
