==Biography==

Nazaire Bizet was born into the family of a [[Tex Mechanica]] foundry Magnate, Cesar Bizet. At a young age, he lost his mother to an illness. With his father growing ever more distant due to his work, Nazaire started  to psychologically suffer. Years later, he saw his mother once more at the [[Bonnet Plaza]]. His mother had been risen as a guardian and possessed no memories of ever being his mother. Despite this, Nazaire rushed to his mother's side seeking comfort but was greeted with a harsh reality. He was shoved to the ground, with her ghost ordering him to "clear the way". The cold expression on his mothers face haunted the young Nazaire which made him believe that this was a homunculus, a doppelganger. He was helped back up to his feet by strangers who saw the whole event unfold, strangers he believed to be kinder than his own mother.

After the bizzare event that occured at the Plaza, Nazaire was deeply scarred. He no longer saw the [[Guardian]]s and the [[Light]] as protectors of the Last City, he now saw them as tyrants. Viewing guardians as puppets wielded by The Light. This distrust led him to discovering the Sermons of the Twin Bird of the [[Binary Star Cult|Binary Star]]. These sermons enlightened Nazaire, leading him to believe agony had purpose, that some pain was meant to hone. Inspired, Nazaire began running. Creating long routes throughout the Last City, totalling to thousands of steps. During his runs through the City, he saw the common people. Dockworkers, Shopkeepers, Vagrants, ordinary people living their lives and making ends meet. Seeing the contrast between [[Lightbearer]]s and normal citizens, Nazaire plunged deeper into his beliefs. He saw the Light as selfish, raising only those it deems worthy. Eventually, he made contact with the [[Darkness]], learning to wield it.

Having ties to [[Empress Caiatl]]'s forces because of his father, he became close friends with [[Bracus Lume, Coalition Ally|Bracus Lume]]. The two shared an equal distaste for the Lightbearers which led to them to secede from the Last City, with Bracus Lume taking some of Caiatl's men with him. With a newly acquired force, called the [[Barant Imperium]], both Lume's and Nazaire's ambition grew. Eventually Nazaire would discover a Praxic temple at [[Europa]]. Leading some of Lume's most fearsome warriors into temple and witnessing some perish to the elements, he was eventually contacted by VI by touching a crystal of Stasis. He was chosen to be the weapon of VI. After this, he was confronted by Lume who threatened to kill him. But he promised that he would heal Lume's wounds that were inflicted by the hive, long ago. 

With this new power both Nazaire and Lume's newly established Imperium grew stronger. Nazaire changed, physically. Not even resembling a human anymore due to the many transmutations caused by VI such as his skin hardening into Tungsten or his body parts turning into metal. Nazaire saw the Imperium as imperfect and prone to collapse. Noting that there was great mistrust between the Psions and the Barant. But he believed that he could use the Imperium to further his ultimate goals while it lasted: Defeat the [[Vanguard]] and break their tyranny over the Last City. His first endeavor was to use Psions to link additional minds to his to construct an understanding of VI. This endeavor caused many Psions to die, with Nazaire even berating [[Enforcer Rao]] and their inability to provide quality subjects. Unfortunately for Nazaire, his ambition failed to provide any meaningful results. He demanded an explanation from VI but recieved none.

Nazaire eventually discovered an old saying for guardians who strayed from the path of the Light, "Dredgen". He adopted this word and sought to give it a new meaning. Doing so he also adopted a new name, Dredgen Bael. After the adoption of his new name, he vowed that he would make more Dredgens like him.

Dredgen Bael demonstrates a fanatical devotion to his master, VI. Bael views the Vanguard and Guardians not as saviors, but as tyrants who have illegitimately seized control over  the [[Last City]].{{Citation needed}} This worldview is rooted in deep childhood trauma. Following his mother's death from disease, she was resurrected as a Guardian. Fueled by rage, he engaged in punishing physical conditioning, running the City streets until his body broke, believing that endured pain would hone him into a weapon.
