A bureaucrat can assign or revoke user rights and rename user accounts. They have the same powers as an Administrator. A list of current bureaucrats can be found here.

How to become a Bureaucrat?

Like Administrators, Bureaucrats are usually selected on an as-needed basis only, but in the cases that they are selected they are usually given to an Administrator if the other Bureaucrats agree that adding another one is appropriate.

Alternatively a Bureaucrat can also pass on their status to another Administrator if they are retiring from being an Administrator.

Bureaucrat rights

• Special:UserRights
  • Grant and revoke rollback status from a user, in accordance with the policy.
  • Grant and revoke Patroller status from a user, in accordance with the policy.
  • Grant (or revoke) administrator and bureaucrat status to a user, in accordance with the policy.
• Special:RenameUser
  • Rename a user as per their request at the request page.
• Special:EditProfile
  • Edit other users' social profiles, such as removing offensive content.
• Delete board messages of other users.
