| During the course of ''Unexpected Guests'' the player finds the Taken gathering at Terrabse Charon for an unknown purpose. Upon arrival they flee into the Wraith Mines where it is discovered they are conducting a summoning ritual to open a portal into the [[High Coven]], [[Savathun]]'s own [[Ascendant Realm]]. The player shuts down the portal and prevents the entry of the Hive Witch-Queen Savathun, but one of her lieutenants, [[Iraz, Eye of Savathûn]] manages to make her way through to Io before the portal collapses, whereupon they are killed by the player. Ikora then speculates that someone or something (Savathun) has claimed Oryx's crown and become the next Taken Monarch
