'''Takanome's Rangers''' were a group of fighters that existed during the [[Dark Age]], before the advent of the [[Guardian]]s and the founding of the [[Last City]]. 

Led by the legendary Ayane Takanome and armed with [[sniper rifle]]s, the Rangers patrolled the ruins of [[Earth]] and protected countless refugees making their way to the [[Traveler]] from their perches high in the mountains, killing [[Fallen]] and human bandits alike. As they were not Guardians, they planted blue flowers along the refugee roads to preserve their memory.
