| In the area of the event, waves of [[Taken]] and [[Hive]] will begin fighting each other. After a few waves of [[Taken]] are defeated, the Putrid Knight will appear. To dispel the Knight's shield, the Guardian must kill [[Revenant Cursed Thrall]]s to cause a pool of mist to appear. They must step within the pool to fill up their Volatile Fetor bar until they receive the buff, which will last for 19 seconds and allow them to pierce the Knight's shield upon interacting with the white circle surrounding it. Once the Putrid Knight is dead, another wave of Taken will come, followed by a second Knight. Repeating the process on this second foe completes the event.
