Panza is a Ghost who was partnered to a Guardian who they refused to bring back in fear their delusions would doom humanity.
Biography[edit]
Some time after Panza had revived their Guardian, he found they suffered from delusions. He joined them on a quest to become a legend by slaying beasts and conquering terrible lands, as their Guardian said; however, the monsters they faced and the locations they conquered were all mundane, and only weren't so in the Guardian's imagination that he claimed was a result of recalling their past life. Though Panza initially took it as playful enthusiasm as they honed their skill, but he came to see the truth in the months that followed.[1]
After destroying a derelict crane that he saw as a dragon, the Guardian told Panza that the dragon had whispered to him that the Traveler was a beacon for death and destruction and declared that their final conquest would see the Traveler cut down for the Light to endure. This was where Panza knew that he had to let them go, as he could see the madness in his Guardian's eyes and smile. Two days later, Panza would leave their Guardian unrevived after they were crushed by a boulder, though it caused him great pain to do so.[1]
