| ==History==

| The Given did not begin as living beings. They began as something already lost. Kalos had long since been Taken—his will diminished, his form hollowed, his purpose no longer fully his own. Yet like certain powerful Taken, a fragment of self-endured. Enough to remember. Enough to remain loyal. And so he asked.
| |
| In devotion to his master, Kalos desired only one thing: to serve King Neo for all eternity. Neo, in turn, gave voice to that desire—wishing that his servant be remade, so that such service could truly never end. An Ahamkara answered. The wish was granted exactly as spoken. Kalos was remade. Not freed from what he had become—but rebuilt from it. The Ahamkara did not restore what was lost. Instead, it layered something new atop the void: Light, drawn from Neo’s proximity to Queen Rikia’s radiance, forced into a shape that was never meant to hold it. The result was not restoration. It was imposition. A Taken body, still bound to its origin… now made complete in purpose. Kalos did not regain freedom—only certainty. His loyalty was no longer a fragment, nor a choice that could waver. It was absolute. And so he served. Not because he was forced to— but because the wish ensured he would never desire otherwise. Even after Neo was cleansed of the Taken’s influence, the bond remained. Not corruption, but something deeper: a will written into reality itself, carried through Light and sealed by wishcraft. The first of the Given was not granted salvation— only the fulfillment of a desire that could no longer change. This is the nature of Ahamkara bargains: nothing is restored—only repurposed. The Taken are not undone. They are given back… just enough to fulfill the wish. However this wish would leave framework to make more Given and so it was that more would be cleansed in an unexpected way. Due to their individual wills they can act independently but all Given maintain a desire to serve their King and Queen.
