The '''Telos Convergent''', also known as the '''Convergent Vex''', are a [[Vex]] Subtype found on the [[Machine World]] of [[Forum:Sedna|Sedna]]. Originally a branch of the [[Sol Collective]] sent to convert the Dwarf Planet, they would be altered by their core Mind, [[Forum:Ouranos, Prismatic Mind|Ouranos, Prismatic Mind]], to be capable of being [[Paracausality|Paracausal]] through an [[Echo (object)|Echo]] to spread it to the rest of the Vex. They are the main antagonists of the '''[[Forum:Convergent Pattern|Convergent Pattern]]''' expansion.

==History==
The Vex that would become the Telos Convergent would arrive on [[Forum:Sedna|Sedna]] at some point prior to the Dark Age, where they began the process of converting it into a [[Machine World]].

In the decades following, the Vex of Sedna were relatively undistributed until the end of the [[War against the Witness]]. After the [[The Witness|Witness]] was destroyed, [[Echo (object)|Echoes]] created from the memories of its victims, the Witness's [[Darkness]] and the [[Light]] of the [[The Traveler|Traveler]] would be ejected from the [[The Pale Heart|Pale Heart]] and be scattered across the [[Sol System]]. One, the [[Forum:Echo of Paracausality|Echo of Paracausality]], would crash onto Sedna and be recovered by the Vex. For the next two years, the Subtype's commanding Mind, [[Forum:Ouranos, Prismatic Mind|Ouranos]], would study the Echoes and the fates of its wielders. Eventually, Ouranos would integrate the Echo into its own radiolaria, which transformed the Mind to be able to wield Light and Darkness. Ouranos believed the Echo was the key for the Vex to truly become one with existence and vowed to bring all of the Vex under it, starting with its own Subtype.

After being enhanced with the power of the Echo, Ouranos's Vex would begin to experiment with their new grasp on Paracausality and other Paracausal entities, such as the [[The Dread|Dread]] drawn to the Echo's power. They would also make repeated attempts to enter the Vex Network, only to stopped by the [[Forum:Incursive Collective|Incursive Collective]].

Not long after, both [[Maya Sundaresh]] and the [[Guardian]]s would arrive on Sedna looking to claim the Echo for themselves. Maya would manage to take temporary command of Ouranos and the Telos Convergent using the [[Echo of Command]]. However, when she attempted to use Ouranos against [[The Guardian]] after they cornered her, it quickly turned on her and blasted her with a beam of Light. Though it did capture Maya and convert the [[Nessian Schism]] forces Maya had brought with her, the Guardian would manage to escape back to the surface.

==Structure==
The Convergent Vex behave like a mix between normal Vex and the [[Nessian Schism]]. They are predominantly a Hivemind serving the Axis Minds, but the Minds that Ouranos augmented with their Echo's power (particularly those that have been inducted from the Nessian Schism force brought with Maya to claim the Echo of Paracausality) have more individuality to them.

They can be differentiated from other Vex by their silver frames, while those augmented by the Echo of Paracausality have more noticeable modifications, such as pink eyes and Radiolaria, as well as glass appendages that contain elemental energy.

Unlike the Guardians or [[Lucent Brood|Lucent Hive]], the Telos Convergent do not possess [[Ghost]]s. They make up for this by being more powerful and durable that Hive Lightbearers.
