The '''Greek Flood Zone''' is a [[Destination]] in ''[[Destiny 2]]'', introduced in [[Forum:Jackal's Labyrinth|Jackal's Labyrinth]] season of ''[[Forsaken]]''. A region within the ruins of Greece, centered in the former city of Athens, it is the current location where the [[Fallen]] [[Forum:House of Lions|House of Lions]] reside in, with their enormous [[Ketch]], the [[Forum:Lionship Andiks-Fel|Lionship Andiks-Fel]] shadowing over a portion of the Flood Zone. The Greek Flood Zone also hosts a [[Cabal]] detachment, as well as a minor presence of a returning [[Hive]] [[Forum:Blades of the Exiled|Brood]].


==Overview==
The [[Forum:House of Lions|House of Lions]] holds most of the control of the Greek Flood Zone as indicated by their numerous banners and encampments littered across the region almost subsumed by water. However, [[Red Legion]] soldiers and [[Forum:Blades of the Exiled|Blades of the Exiled]] raiders continuously attack them to claim their territory. [[Guardian]]s can find Lion crews across the region combating the invaders and can assist them in eliminating them. The region also contains three [[Lost Sector]]s and can participate in [[Public Event]]s and [[Patrol]]s in order to strengthen their alliance with the House of Lions.

==History==
During the onset of the [[Red War]], the [[Forum:House of Lions|House of Lions]] were forced out of the [[Reef]] and the [[Kuiper Belt]] due to the [[Taken]] overrunning them and moved to [[Earth]] while the [[Forum:Lions' Run|Lions' Run]] was heavily weaken and later abandoned as the rest of the Lions moved towards [[Earth]]. There the Lions would settle in the ruins of Greece, but had to combat the newly [[Cabal]] [[Red Legion]] installment, led by the temporarily lightless [[Guardian]] [[Forum:AJ, the Relentless|AJ, the Relentless]], the Lions conducted aggressive but suicidal raids against the Cabal 12th Company stationed there as they began carving out a den to call home. Eventually cultivating with AJ facing the commander, [[Forum:Val Zho'ogurn|Val Zho'ogurn]] without his light in the [[Forum:Fleetbase Azure|Fleetbase Azure]], and slew him thanks to an [[Forum:The Hollower|unknown power]]. Soon after, AJ regained his [[Light]] and helped the Lions successfully take over the Greek Flood Zone and make their new home. He would lead a defensive against the Red Legion retaliation and defeated numerous cabal leaders, including the assassination of [[Forum:Valus Ta'ul, the Knowledge-Seeker|Valus Ta'ul, the Knowledge-Seeker]] and outmanuevering [[Forum:Exiled Val|Val Za'aurg]] who tried avenging Ta'ul. The Red Legion would be broken and forced to retreat back into the Fleetbase Azure. At some point, remnants of the [[Hive]] Brood, [[Forum:Blades of the Exiled|Blades of the Exiled]] would resurface and begin combating the House of Lions, but did not gain much as they were immediately pushed back.

During the aftermath of the [[Battle of the Forges]], the House of Lions within the Lions' Run would be attacked by a newly made Crime Syndicate, [[Forum:The Jackal Syndicate|The Jackal Syndicate]], led by their Kell, [[Forum:Seriviks|Seriviks]]. Leading to the Kell of Lions, [[User:Joskaa|Joskaa]], to open the Greek Flood Zone to the Guardians and initiated a [[Forum:Crusades of the Jackals|Crusade]] against the Jackals. Several Jackal operatives resided within the Greek Flood Zone before being eliminated by Guardians under the orders of the [[Forum:Blades of Joskaa|Blades of Joskaa]], via [[Bounties]]. It would also become apparent that all of the Cabal operating within the Greek Flood Zone would defect the Red Legion due to the low number of commanders and death of [[Dominus Ghaul]] and [[Val Ca'uor]] beforehand, leaving them leaderless. The Crusades would conclude with the Jackals' leaders being eliminated and Seriviks being killed in a [[Raid]] over within their [[Forum:Den of the Disgraced|lair]], leaving the Jackals broken and their threat diminished.

Years later, following the [[War of Salvation]], the House of Lions would face new threats in the form of the [[Forum:House of Emperors|House of Emperors]] and [[Forum:House of Vipers|House of Vipers]], but the conflict never fully reached towards the Greek Flood Zone, with only a few skirmishes from scouts from Emperors and Vipers against the Lions.
