Convergent Pattern is the main.questline for the expansion of the same name.
Quest Steps[edit]
Step 1[edit]
The final Echo has been found. Travel to Sedna and recover the relic of Light and Darkness before it falls into the wrong hands.

Signs of the final Echo ejected from the Traveler have been found on the dwarf planet of Sedna in the Kuiper Belt. Work with Osiris to recover it.

- Osiris: Throughout all we have faced, the threat of the Vex has remained persistent. Their control over time and ability to simulate every possibility have made them greater than any threat we've faced. The only advantage we had over them was their inability to simulate the Light and Darkness. With that, we could stand a chance of stopping the Vex. But they have remained and even began turning the Darkness to their ultimate goal. Now, with the death of the Witness and the Echoes that were released by it, I fear that they have found a new way to bend our power to their will.

Echoes shoot out of the portal on the Traveler. The camera focuses on one Echo as the others crash into various locations, including the Dreadnaught, Nessus and Pluto. The last Echo would continue to shoot through the darkness of space before landing on the dwarf planet of Sedna. As the relic of Light and Darkness settles onto the shattered ice of its impact crater, the ground began to crack and broke sending the Echo plummeting deeper into the planet. With the Echo settled on a pile of rock and broken Vex machines, the sound of Vex footsteps gradually becomes louder. A Goblin with a silver chassis approaches the Echo and reaches out to it.
The screen cuts to black, and the logo for Destiny 2: Convergent Pattern appears.

The Guardian's Jumpship flies towards Sedna.
- Ikora Rey: Guardian, we've detected a signal coming from the edges of the system. The last of the Echoes is on Sedna.
A Vex Harpy with a silver chassis watches the Guardian's jumpship flies past.
- Ikora Rey: Not long after, we saw a spike in Vex activity. It can't be a coincidence. We must secure this last Echo before it falls into the wrong hands.
The Guardian disembarks from their ship onto the icy surface of Sedna.
Cutscene ends
- Ghost: The Echo's signal seems to be coming from within Sedna. We'll have to find a way in.
The Guardian moves through icy canyons until they come upon a crack in Sedna's surface.
Ghost: I've got a lock on the Echo's signal. It's coming from deep under the surface.
The Guardian jumps into the canyon and explores the caverns underneath. Vex architecture appears indifferent to other Vex machine worlds.
- Ghost: Hmmm. Scans of the surface texture. appears similar to those taken years ago. Looks like the Echo hasn't made any changes to the planet like with Nessus.
The Guardian encounters and defeats silver-framed Vex bearing Yokes of Command and Choral Vex.
- Ghost: Osiris, we've found Choral Vex down here.
- Osiris: Then that means Maya is here. It can't be a coincidence. Keep going, Guardian. If Maya isn't stopped, she'll have another Echo and a whole new Collective at her command.
