Behold the sky. The blazing glory of the twin suns illuminate the battle lines of colossal warships, battling a titanic war across the stars. The Sivian invaded this star attempting to conquer the Primeval; but as they arrived, dropping out of slipspace in cool streaks of unlight, the Primeval perimeter militias met them in battle, and stalled their advance for many cycles. In response, the Sivian began to blight the Primeval worlds so that their fleet would be disarrayed. They became tainted with death. Their civilization ravaged, the Primeval would survive by turning to new bodies in the form of machines called the Cognitive.
