Variable is a Crucible match variant introduced in House of Obsidian.
Overview[edit]
Variable is a 6v6 Crucible gamemode with teammate revival. It features the basic free-for-all gameplay of Clash, but all Guardian abilities—grenades, melee charges and Super attacks—Are completely randomised until the match ends, special ammo and heavy ammo crates spawn much more frequently, and there is time selected before a match starts for each player to change their gear to fit said subclass. All other factors of the Clash game mode are unchanged.
