==Gameplay==
To reach Vakarsik, [[Guardian]]s that participate in the event should collect the Awoken Batteries dropped by the assaulting [[Deranged Abomination]]s. Bringing them to the Generator will briefly reveal three [[Taken Blight]]s hovering in the distance. Destroying all three will make another Blight appear on top of the device alongside three [[Elite]] [[Taken Wizard]]s. Killing them will transport the participants into the [[Ascendant Realm]] version of the area, where six more Taken Wizards are conducting a ritual to restore a wounded Vakarsik, who is currently immune and immobile. All six Wizards should be killed as fast as possible to prevent the boss from healing. When they are dead, the blight on top of the Captain will descend, and they will be vulnerable to damage. They fight much like a normal [[Taken Captain]], but they will constantly summon hordes of [[Shadow Thrall]]s and [[Ravenous Taken Phalanx]]es, making it difficult to maintain a position.
