The '''Fragment of the Swarm'''s are [[Ultra]] [[Vex]] [[Wyvern]]s of the [[Nessian Schism]] which are part of their whole, [[Melissos, Swarm Mind]]. They are encountered as part of Melissos's secret [[Strangelet Capsule]] encounter in [[The Edge of Fate]]'s mythic difficulty campaign.

==Gameplay==

A Fragment of the Swarm is summoned by Melissos upon almost a third of its health being drained and a new one is summoned whenever the previous one is destroyed, however each time taking half of Melissos's health as its own. Once Melissos is destroyed, the remaining Fragment will retreat and fragment into three other Fragments of the Swarm. All which must be destroyed in order to complete the encounter.

Fragments behave identically and have the same abilities as Melissos, including being able to begin a Swarming countdown once every minute.

*Once Melissos is destroyed and the remaining Fragment splits into four, one of the Fragments will take on Melissos's name while the others remain named as Fragment of the Swarm.
