The Praxic Blade, a new weapon in the Destiny franchise, is likely a new exotic sword archetype to be released in the Renegades expansion.
It was clearly inspired by the Star Wars film franchise, where it has appeared for decades as the Lightsaber, a weapon capable of deflecting direct fire and can be thrown to hit distant targets.
