— Weapon description

((Genesis Chain~)) is an Auto Rifle acquired by completing the Wrath of the Machine Raid in Destiny's Rise of Iron. It is the Adept version of the Legendary GENESIS CHAIN~ Auto Rifle, and is augmented with Solar burn. The perks for this weapon are the same as those found with its Legendary counterpart. Like other SIVA-infused weapons, perks can be changed continuously.

Perks

Column 1

• Solar Damage - This weapon causes Solar Damage.
• Whirlwind's Curse - This weapon does bonus damage against Fallen. Bonus Agility when this weapon is equipped.
• Infuse - Consume a more powerful Weapon to boost the Attack value of this Weapon.

Column 2

• Linear Compensator - More predictable recoil. Slight boosts to range and impact. More recoil.
• Accurized Ballistics - More range and impact. Increased recoil.
• Field Choke - More range and impact. Increased recoil.

Column 3

• Focused Fire - When zoomed, this weapon fires slower, but causes additional damage.

Column 4

• Speed Reload - Reload this weapon quickly.
• High Caliber Rounds - Oversize rounds built to stagger targets and leave them reeling. Their mass makes a weapon harder to handle.
• Hammer Forged - Improved range and accuracy.

Column 5

• Focused Firefly - While Focused Fire is active, precision kills cause the target to explode.

Changes

In addition to color changes with the ((Genesis Chain~)) being white and red and the ordinary Genesis Chain black, latter deals kinetic damage, while the former deals Solar damage.

Tactics

Stick to longer ranges when aiming down because it will decrease fire rate, hampering close combat. Scopeless firing may be inaccurate, but the rate of fire will be better than nothing. In spite of this, the weapon is best used as a long-ranged crowd control gun.

Trivia

• The ((Genesis Chain~)) as well as the regular Genesis Chain are the only Auto Rifles in Destiny to have the perk "Firefly", which triggers an explosion after a precision kill.
