Overview

Recruited from Sand Eater veteran infantry, the legion of Dust Giants serve as a mobile shock and reserve force for the Cabal scout legions, reinforcing crumbling lines during major Vex offensives.[1] An officer of the Dust Giants, Valus Ta'aurc, led the Siege Dancers from the Imperial Land Tank Cerberus Vae III outside of Rubicon Wastes, up until his assassination by Guardians.[2] By the time of the Taken War, the Dust Giants had lost about 39% of their Cabal manpower across Mars and Phobos.[3]

Almost a year after the Red Legion entered the Solar System and the events of the Red War, a number of Legionary deserters wearing Dust Giants colours were hosted by the House of Spider at the Spider's Palace.[4]'
