Characteristics
Awoken resemble baseline humans, with the notable exception of having pale blue, gray or white skin. Some have been seen to have faint tattoo-like markings; it is unknown if these are natural or artificial. They also have luminescent eyes, with glowing orange or blue irises.
Development
Joe Staten and Christopher Barrett described the Awoken as being beautiful, exotic, and mysterious. They mentioned the team looked at elves, vampires, ghosts, and angels to "capture that exotic, sort of ethereal feel".[1]
