Later on, as the Guardians work on powering up the [[Io]] [[Seraph Bunker]] and connecting it to Rasputin's mainframe, Zavala is present and asks Rasputin to convince him that the Warmind understands the stakes and is on their side. Rasputin answers by showing him a galaxy map showing how close the Pyramid Fleet is towards the Solar System. Zavala understands this and questions Rasputin if this is what had his attention, whether to fight, rebuild or run. Zavala soon finds his Ghost hijacked by Rasputin who relays various messages from the Collapse, from those who did not survive. Zavala finally comes to understand that while Rasputin gave everything for a cause that was swept away, Rasputin nonetheless survived through the Collapse and is afraid to fail humanity again. The Titan Vanguard finally comes to an understanding with Rasputin, resolving that once ''The Almighty'' has been broken, the City will devote whatever resources the Warmind needs and when the time comes, they will stand together as allies, equals and as Guardians.
