''The Guardian lands in the Rupture, the peak of the Pyramidion's gate visible beyond the drop off.''

* '''Zavala''': The day we've been dreading has finally arrived. The Darkness is Here. We need boots on the ground on Io. Recon. There's a pyramid. It's already disabled Rasputin. I'd lean on Eris' expertise but we haven't been able to reach her. We both know what that means. Eris is our best chance at understanding what we're up against. I need her at the Tower. She's too valuable an asset to... Find her, Guardian. Bring her home.

{Gameplay}

''The Guardian lands in the Lost Oasis on Io.''

'''Ghost''': Eris Morn. A Guardian without a Ghost. I wonder how that must feel. Hollow. Unnatural. When I look at that ship... Eris, can you hear us? Eris? Nothing. Zavala, come in.

'''Zavala''': Any sign?

'''Ghost''': My signals are being suppressed. I can't even summon a Sparrow.

'''Zavala''': What do you see?

'''Ghost''': The pyramid. It's... oppressive. Like a storm  moving in.
* '''Sagira:''' Are you sure there's a map of the Infinite Forest here?
*
* '''Ikora:''' If the Vex are trying to reshape the future, the Pyramidion is part of the plan. The map ''has'' to be here.
*
''The Guardian descends toward a Vex plate. Upon activating it, a conflux appears nearby.''

''Travel to the Rupture.''
* '''Sagira:''' I know a trick with that conflux.

'''Sagira''': Are you sure there's a map of the Infinite Forest here?
''Approach the conflux and allow Sagira to scan.''

'''Ikora''': If the Vex are trying to reshape the future, the Pyramidion is part of the plan. The map has to be here.
* '''Ikora:''' Brace yourself for the Vex welcoming party.

''The Guardian activates a plate which spawns a conflux.
''The door to the Pyramidion slides open.''

'''Sagira''': I know a trick with that conflux.
* '''Ikora:''' Or not.

''Sagira begins actively scanning the conflux.''
* '''Sagira:''' With me, you get the shortcuts.

'''Ikora''': Brace yourself for the Vex welcoming party.
''While the Guardian proceeds into the Pyramidion, Ikora and Sagira speak.''

''Sagira finishes with the conflux and a circular door slides open.''
* '''Ikora:''' Sagira, I know we didn't leave one another on the best of terms…

'''Ikora''': ... or not.
* '''Sagira:''' You led the group that exiled my Guardian. I didn't like it. But... people weren't ready to hear what Osiris was saying back then.

'''Sagira''': With me, you get the shortcuts.
* '''Ikora:''' It wasn't just his prophecies. He never understood there was more to being a Warlock than being the smartest person in the room.

''The Guardian descends into the Pyramidion while Ikora and Sagira talk.''
* '''Sagira:''' Osiris has changed. You're still the same by-the-book Ikora I remember.

'''Ikora''': Sagira, I know we didn't leave one another on the best of terms...
* '''Ikora:''' I'm not so sure about that. Losing my Light was revealing. I see now I need to be more than I was. Maybe we all do.

'''Sagira''': You led the group that exiled my Guardian. I didn't like it. But people weren't ready to hear what Osiris was saying back then.
''Vex appear in the path at the end of a short, narrow hallway. Beyond them, the vast room contains several more Vex the Guardian must face as they traverse across platforms that appear as they approach. Once the room is cleared and the Guardian passes through the hall at the other end of the room, Sagira gives an update.''

'''Ikora''': It wasn't just his prophecies. He never understood there was more to being a Warlock than being the smartest person in the room.
* '''Sagira:''' Great. Looks like Ikora was right. My scans show the Pyramidion does receive data from the Forest. I've got the location of a conflux where we can access it.

'''Sagira''': Osiris has changed. You're still the same by-the-book Ikora I remember.
''The Guardian finds a space crawling with Vex that are guarding a gateway.''

'''Ikora''': I'm not so sure about that. Losing my Light was revealing. I see now I need to be more than I was. Maybe we all do.
* '''Sagira:''' I can reprogram that warp gate. It should get us close to the conflux.

''The first set of Vex enemies appear. There are Goblins, Hobgoblins, and Fanatics across multiple platforms that phase into reality.''
''Once the Guardian has defeated all of the Vex, the gateway opens.''

'''Sagira''': Great. Looks like Ikora was right. My scans show the Pyramidion does receive data from the Forest. I've got the location of a conflux where we can access it.
* '''Sagira:''' Calculations are ready. All you gotta do is jump through the hoop.

''The Guardian pushes through the Vex toward a gate.''
''On the other side of the gateway, the Guardian finds themselves in a narrow hall.''

'''Sagira''': I can reprogram that warp gate. It should get us close to the conflux.
* '''Sagira:''' Well, that didn't work as well as I expected…

''Once the room is cleared, the gate activates.''
* '''Ikora:''' The Sagira I knew would never admit to anything less than Osiris-level perfection.

'''Sagira''': Calculations are ready. All you gotta do is go through the hoop.
* '''Sagira:''' Ikora, here's a secret. ''No one'' has ever lived up to Osiris's reputation. Not even Osiris.

''The other side of the gate puts the Guardian in a small hallway with a barrier at one end and a small open space. There is no conflux.''
''The Guardian finds another gateway, this one placing them at the top of a slope leading down to a pit of Vex construction. Upon approaching, it becomes clear that the way is blocked by a barrier and on top of it is a Cylops, Network Protection. Vex enemies spawn all around and must be defeated before the barrier collapses. The Guardian drops down the pit and into a no re-spawn zone.''

'''Sagira''': Well... that didn't work as well I as expected.
* '''Sagira:''' I can tell that the conflux is somewhere nearby, but the Vex must be cloaking it.

'''Ikora''': The Sagira I knew would never admit to anything less than Osiris level perfection.
''There's a plate to the left and right of the Guardian. Once one is activated, Vex enemies spawn in and continue to do so as the Guardian activates the plates.''

'''Sagira''': Ikora, here's a secret: No one has lived up to Osiris' reputation. Not even Osiris.
* '''Sagira:''' Look out, we've got incoming!

''The Guardian finds another gate. On the other side is a steep slope headed down to a pit. Approaching, the pit is shielded and a Cyclops appears on top. Goblins, Hobgoblins, and Minotaurs appear to guard the pit. Once they are defeated, the barrier drops, allowing the Guardian to progress. The area turns into a no respawn zone before the Guardian touches the bottom.''
''Once the enemies are defeated and both plates are open, a barrier drops and the conflux appears at the top of the stairs.''

'''Sagira''': I can tell that the conflux is somewhere nearby. But the Vex must be cloaking it.
* '''Sagira:''' There we go.

''There are two plates on either side of the area. When the Guardian steps on one, enemies spawn in.''
''The Guardian approaches the conflux so Sagira can scan it.''

'''Sagira''': Lookout! We've got incoming!
* '''Sagira:''' The map's not here. I don't understand.

''Once both plates are active
* '''Ikora:''' Keep looking.

TranscriptEdit

The Guardian lands in the Rupture, the peak of the Pyramidion's gate visible beyond the drop off.

  • Sagira: Are you sure there's a map of the Infinite Forest here?
  • Ikora: If the Vex are trying to reshape the future, the Pyramidion is part of the plan. The map has to be here.

The Guardian descends toward a Vex plate. Upon activating it, a conflux appears nearby.

  • Sagira: I know a trick with that conflux.

Approach the conflux and allow Sagira to scan.

  • Ikora: Brace yourself for the Vex welcoming party.

The door to the Pyramidion slides open.

  • Ikora: Or not.
  • Sagira: With me, you get the shortcuts.

While the Guardian proceeds into the Pyramidion, Ikora and Sagira speak.

  • Ikora: Sagira, I know we didn't leave one another on the best of terms…
  • Sagira: You led the group that exiled my Guardian. I didn't like it. But... people weren't ready to hear what Osiris was saying back then.
  • Ikora: It wasn't just his prophecies. He never understood there was more to being a Warlock than being the smartest person in the room.
  • Sagira: Osiris has changed. You're still the same by-the-book Ikora I remember.
  • Ikora: I'm not so sure about that. Losing my Light was revealing. I see now I need to be more than I was. Maybe we all do.

Vex appear in the path at the end of a short, narrow hallway. Beyond them, the vast room contains several more Vex the Guardian must face as they traverse across platforms that appear as they approach. Once the room is cleared and the Guardian passes through the hall at the other end of the room, Sagira gives an update.

  • Sagira: Great. Looks like Ikora was right. My scans show the Pyramidion does receive data from the Forest. I've got the location of a conflux where we can access it.

The Guardian finds a space crawling with Vex that are guarding a gateway.

  • Sagira: I can reprogram that warp gate. It should get us close to the conflux.

Once the Guardian has defeated all of the Vex, the gateway opens.

  • Sagira: Calculations are ready. All you gotta do is jump through the hoop.

On the other side of the gateway, the Guardian finds themselves in a narrow hall.

  • Sagira: Well, that didn't work as well as I expected…
  • Ikora: The Sagira I knew would never admit to anything less than Osiris-level perfection.
  • Sagira: Ikora, here's a secret. No one has ever lived up to Osiris's reputation. Not even Osiris.

The Guardian finds another gateway, this one placing them at the top of a slope leading down to a pit of Vex construction. Upon approaching, it becomes clear that the way is blocked by a barrier and on top of it is a Cylops, Network Protection. Vex enemies spawn all around and must be defeated before the barrier collapses. The Guardian drops down the pit and into a no re-spawn zone.

  • Sagira: I can tell that the conflux is somewhere nearby, but the Vex must be cloaking it.

There's a plate to the left and right of the Guardian. Once one is activated, Vex enemies spawn in and continue to do so as the Guardian activates the plates.

  • Sagira: Look out, we've got incoming!

Once the enemies are defeated and both plates are open, a barrier drops and the conflux appears at the top of the stairs.

  • Sagira: There we go.

The Guardian approaches the conflux so Sagira can scan it.

  • Sagira: The map's not here. I don't understand.
  • Ikora: Keep looking.
  • Sagira: Wait, I've got something. Coordinates for a node in the Infinite Forest. That's where our map is.
