Ayane Takanome lived during the Dark Age[1] and led a group of Rangers armed with sniper rifles to help defend refuges making their way to the growing city beneath the Traveler before the rise of the Guardians.[2]
Biography
Ayane and her Rangers appeared sometime during the Dark Age as the Last City grew, and made it their mission to protect the refugee columns. Eventually they were replaced as Guardians became more common, and while the City still remembers her for her deeds, some started believeing she was just a myth.[3][4]
Hunters use a set of armor named in the Rangers' honor, while Ayane had a cloak dedicated to her.[5]
