The Queen of the Reef is the ruler of the Reef, one of the few settlements outside of the City. She is simultaneously the ruler of the Awoken (who have not moved to the City), and the Kell of the House of Wolves. Her aloof and enigmatic demeanor belie a ruthless nature, but she's not above helping others... for a price.
Living on the edge of civilized space, so close to the darkness, the Queen knows many secrets, including how to enter the Black Garden.[1]
Gameplay
The Queen of the Reef will give missions to players in the form of bounties.[2] She is only seen directly in two one-time story missions, but is expected to have a more significant role in the House of Wolves Expansion.
Production note
Destiny Design Director, Joseph Staten, claims to have turned in all of the Queen's bounties during testing.[2]
