Osiris is an old Warlock who was exiled from the City. He studied the Hive, in particular prophesying the coming of Oryx, and is also rumored to have come "too close to understanding the Vex".^[2]^[3] His current activities and whereabouts are unknown.

Trivia

Osiris is presumably named after the god of the same name, the Egyptian god of the afterlife, the underworld and the dead.
A Crucible event in his name, the Trials of Osiris, is included in Destiny's game files, but it is not currently accessible and has yet to be announced by Bungie.
