A Redolence of Decay is a Darkness-empowered Shadow Legion soldier that appears aboard the Essence during the Root of Nightmares Raid.
Gameplay
More commonly seen as a Shadow Legion Centurion, a Redolence of Decay is found during the Scission encounter of the Root of Nightmares Raid. These units are immune to all means of attack, unless their opponent has the Flux of Darkness buff, making them a particularly troublesome add for their Guardian opponents. While Redolence of Decays are more commonly a Centurion, especially the boss units that appear at the end of every floor, they can also appear as other red-bar minors once both Nodes of Splendor and Decay are fully linked, with a squad of Legionaries and Psions at the end of Floor 1, Gladiators at the end of Floor 2 and Incendiors at the end of Floor 3, the former-most of which disables the lifts to the upper floors and the final-most barring the exit to Scission.
