The Witness |
Essence is a Pyramid used by The Witness during the invasion of Earth and later, Nezarec, Final God of Pain. It acts as the location for the Root of Nightmares raid.
History
During the beginning events of the Lightfall campaign, Essence was fired upon by a beam generated by the Traveler, with the intended target being the Witness. This attack created a massive hole in the pyramid's hull as well as terraformed the interior. This, likely unknowingly, provided the conditions for the resurrection of Nezarec, Final God of Pain.
