After solving several mysteries and eliminating several threats within the Infinite Forest, Osiris and the Young Wolf detected an old Vanguard signal being broadcast from within the Forest. Their investigation led to traces of Light that matched that of [[Saint-14]], who had gone missing looking for Osiris in the aftermath of the [[Battle of the Twilight Gap]]. Osiris lamented his role in his old friend's disappearance, and brushed off Sagira's attempt to console him. He started continued investigating then asked to be taken to the Traveler, and his ghost jumped them there. However, there was silence, the sun was in twilight, the breeze roared. The Traveler was gone.  "The sphere of the Traveler was gone. In its place, an obsidian monolith at least twice the size dominated the sky. In the Last City’s place was a swirling dust storm, tinged purple by the dying light." and quote.

Osiris wasn't heard from again until after the Arrival, where he contacted Zavala to report on the situation. He also sent the Vanguard Commander a Fang of [[Xivu Arath, God of War|Xivu Arath]], which had been in his followers' possession. Osiris first made his way towards the [[Dreaming City]], finding the city still trapped in the Taken loop, where he met with [[Petra Venj]]. After deeming her useless for not knowing the whereabouts of the [[Awoken]] [[Mara Sov|Queen]], Osiris left the City and retuned to the Tower. Unable to meet with Zavala, he went to investigate [[Anastasia Bray|Ana's]] work on Rasputin. Though the ex-Commander admired Ana, he came to the conclusion that she was wasting her potential on a 'Golden Age Tyrant'.

There, the Warlock stumbled upon a communion [[Voshyr]] and [[Kinox]], and an emissary of Xivu Arath known as the [[High Celebrant of Xivu Arath|High Celebrant]]. Osiris interrupted the Communion, first incinerating fifteen noble-brood, including Voshyr and her kin [[Yishra]] and [[Ayriax]], with his [[Dawnblade]]. He then used a [[Nova Bomb]] to annihilate [[Ulg'Urin]] alongside his Knight guard, but failed to killed Kinox, who fled the chamber.

However, Osiris stood no chance against the Celebrant himself. Amused with this show of violence, the High Celebrant attempted to transform Osiris into a [[Wrathborn]] by carving runes into either side of the latter's face and leaving him as a sacrifice to Xivu. In that moment, Sagira sacrificed herself, saving Osiris, but leaving him ghostless.

The death of his ghost drove Osiris into a rage as he attempted to hunt down the High Celebrant. Before embarking on his quest, however, he contact Zavala one last time, asking the Vanguard Commander to send the Young Wolf to his coordinates, before going dark.

Later, Osiris managed to track down the Celebrant to the [[Shrine of Oryx]]. However, it turned out to be a trap as the High Celebrant managed to confine Osiris in the Shrine and deployed a Cryptolith to command the Hive. However, the Guardian arrived just in time, managing to wipe out the Hive and chase the Celebrant back into the Ascendant Realm. Osiris attempted to meet up with the Guardian, when he was ambushed by another Hive Knight. Fortunately, he was saved by the resurrected [[Uldren Sov]], now known as the Crow. Together, all three of them departed from the Moon to continue their Hunt for the Wrathborn.

When the [[Imperial Cabal]] arrived in the Sol System, Osiris accompanied Zavala to a meeting with [[Empress Caiatl]]. She sought an alliance between the Cabal and humanity following the [[Fall of Torobatl|loss]] of the Cabal capital and homeworld of [[Torobatl]] to the Hive. Osiris cautioned Zavala against it, noting that the Cabal did not have allies but were instead conquerors. He also pointed out that Caiatl had previously betrayed her father [[Emperor Calus]] to [[Dominus Ghaul]] and warned that she would betray them as well. The Empress called her father soft, but Osiris noted he simply lacked ambition, leading Caiatl to accuse them of the same flaw and that it would doom humanity if they did not expand their horizons. However, her offer ended with the demand that Zavala bow and join the Cabal Empire, which the Commander immediately refused. Osiris was assigned to help advise a task force put together by Zavala to combat the Imperial Cabal under the command of Lord [[Saladin Forge]]. He brought Crow into the task force as their reconnaissance expert, with Shipwright [[Amanda Holliday]] providing air support. The Young Wolf struck the first blow by slaying [[Commander Dracus]] on [[Nessus]], capturing a [[Bell of Conquests]] in the process. Meeting with the Young Wolf and Crow in the [[H.E.L.M.]], Osiris complimented Crow's new Hunter attire and brushed off his offer to pay for it by asking that he simply keep his new mask on to prevent anyone in the Last City from recognizing his face. Crow reassured him that he was willing to wear it if it meant being able to help the City. Osiris noted that he had once had to disguise himself to walk the City's streets during his long exile, but that he was now welcomed there and that Crow would one day be welcomed as well. Turning his attention to the Young Wolf, Osiris complimented his work on Nessus and listened as Crow reported that the Caiatl was attempting to build her [[War Council]] using the Rite of Proving. Following the elimination of [[Val Ma'rag]], Osiris was contacted by Caiatl for a meeting. Keeping her waiting until the Young Wolf arrived at the H.E.L.M., Osiris activated the holographic communicator on the war table and greeted the Empress, mockingly apologizing for the delay and blaming it on having to take time to handle her subordinate's antics. Caiatl corrected him by noting the Rite of Proving was a time-honored tradition that the Guardians should not interfere with. Osiris countered that since they were auditioning for her War Council it concerned him a great deal, but Caiatl simply offered once more to add Zavala to that council and that she was offering humanity a way out of war and that he was wise enough to understand that. Although impressed that she had learned from the mistakes of her predecessors by offering mercy, Osiris noted that she was falling back on old traditions to try and hold what remained of the Cabal together and that she was an empress without a true empire and thus not in the position to offer anything. Angered by this, Caiatl claimed the Cabal still had their honor if not their home and that her patience was running thin, ending the communication. The next target of the taskforce was [[Ixel, the Far-Reaching]], a [[Psion]] seeking to gather data from the Vex prediction engines on Nessus. While the Young Wolf slew Ixel, three other Psions escaped with information stolen from the Vex that related to possible futures of Commander Zavala. Osiris met with the Young Wolf and Crow at the war table to hear their reports. He was interested in Crow's spying efforts on the Cabal, which revealed that while they were angry at the disruption of their Rites of Proving, many of them were also upset that Caiatl had offered humanity a place within the Cabal Empire. He believed that they might use this to disrupt the internal stability of the Cabal further, but Crow worried they might use the stolen data to retaliate against Zavala. Osiris noted that data was only possibility, not fate, and argued that they needed to know more. He ordered the Young Wolf and Crow to investigate further, but Crow protested that Zavala deserved to know. Two weeks later, a lone Psion attempted to kill Zavala within one of the Last City's gardens using Light-draining technology developed from the [[Traveler Cage]]. Crow managed to warn the Commander in time, but was briefly seen without his mask. Osiris confronted Crow when he returned to the H.E.L.M. and angrily berated him for his mistake, but was lucky that Zavala was passing it off as a hallucination. Crow insisted that he had to do something, although Osiris dismissed his concerns again and stated that it was not the first time an assassin had infiltrated the City and he did not feel this was the crisis that Crow believed it to be. The two argued, with Osiris confidant that Zavala could have survived against one Psion without help and questioned why his mask had been removed, believing that working for the Spider should have taught him how small mistakes could have large consequences. Crow retorted that he supposed Osiris learned that chasing Xivu Arath, and after a moment of quiet fury Osiris warned him to choose his next words wisely. Crow apologized for not having his mask on but still believed Zavala to be in danger. Osiris agreed, and informed the Hunter that he would be assigned to Zavala as a bodyguard. A day after the closing ceremony of the second [[Guardian Games]], the Last City was plunged into an [[Endless Night]] when the Vex activated a powerful simulation that encompassed the city and drained its power. Conferring with Ikora, Osiris admitted that even with all his knowledge of the Vex the situation was beyond his ability to halt. The House of Light would then be invited into the Last City for their aid in stopping the Endless Night. As they set up shop within the [[Botza District]], Osiris, along with [[Lakshmi-2]] and the Guardian were present to welcome them. While Lakshmi made her suspicions clear, informing Mithrax for his people to keep to themselves and that not everyone would be so open-minded, Osiris was more welcoming and asked if there was any further aid they needed, to which Mithrax noted that there were some modifications needed to be made for better ether production. Lakshmi suggested that should be cleared by Ikora, and noted additionally that she seemed ready to provide the eliksni with anything. The [[Exo]] further added that she would be busy advocating for the people of the City in the dark times the FWC had predicted were approaching. As Lakshmi transmatted away, Osiris apologized for her behavior and noted tensions in the City were high and that the establishment of the House Light camp was a mixture of decree and democracy. ==Personality and Traits==

Following years in exile and traveling throughout the Infinite Forest, Osiris remained dedicated in stopping the Vex but when Panoptes, Infinite Mind began its plans to bring about the Vex's desired future, the Warlock spirited his Ghost away to bring help. Osiris understood that the threat was too great to handle alone. He ultimately proved his courage and valor when fighting alongside The Guardian against the Infinite Mind. After saving his Ghost and emerging from the Infinite Forest, reuniting with his former student, Ikora recognized that Osiris had changed for the better. Despite reconciling with Ikora, Osiris possessed a great deal of guilt in the disappearance of Saint-14, as he was sent to look for him. Upon finding evidence on Saint-14, he called in the Guardians to aid him but was devastated upon learning his demise. Osiris would call his failure to save Saint-14 his deepest regret. It was this guilt that motivated Osiris in creating the Sundial, in hopes he could change his friend's fate which ultimately succeeded thanks to the Guardian's efforts.

Osiris is noted for being too confident in his experiments at times, which has created trouble before. His experiments and works created a cult around him which ultimately began to divide the Guardians and led to his exile. More recently, he attempted to create a copy of Dendron, Root Mind, thinking he could control it but instead it went rogue and was forced to call in the Guardians to deal with the situation. Further, his Sundial device became hijacked by the Cabal, who hoped to use it to control time. Despite these results, Osiris always did have the best intentions in mind.

Osiris has a low opinion on the Cult that grew around his work and their worship of him. He considered their reverence of him distracting and their words hailing him as a prophet to be nothing but drivel. Even after reemerging from the Infinite Forest, Osiris rarely, if not never, interacts with the Cult.
