While the thought of attacking the Last City while the [[Endless Night]] menaced it was tempting, the House of Shadow couldn't risk fighting the [[House of Light]] and the mysteriously aggressive Vex sustaining the City's false night. Worse still for the House, now that the House of Light has a place to call home under the Traveler, many troops would desert in search of asylum. However, the House of Shadow would utilize this chance to sneak agents into the traitor House in search of new weapons and intel on their operations, where they would scout out the Guardian's Override operations and repurpose [[Mithrax, Kell of Light|Mithrax's]] [[Splicer Gauntlet]] for their arsenal. With the repurposing of the Splicer Gauntlet, the House of Shadow, in tandem with the non-malfunctioning Chaos Collective, would begin expeditions into Vex Domain in search of the source, where they would come across [[Quria, the Dreaming Mind|Quria's]] presence within. While the two forces began to enact plans of capturing and manipulating it to their benefit, however, they would soon discover it's destruction at the hands of the Guardian. Some Shadow Fallen attempted to maintain the portal during the breach in the Last City, but their attempts to keep it open for as long as they can would be in vain as the Guardians would eventually force the rift shut with it's Subjugated Mind's destruction. Despite the tactical failure of their operations, they now have spies within the ranks of the House of Light and, subsequently, the Last City, and their Splicer technology. | |||

While most of the House's forces remained adamant in the return of [[Mara Sov]], some of the [[House of Wolves|ex-Wolves]] within the House began to panic, thus forcing the consolidation of their forces deeper and deeper back into their covert dens, attempting to hide themselves from the Awoken Queen's potential wrath. With the opening of ley lines within the different realities, with the exception of the Cult of the Darkness, most of Sumeragi's forces had little influence in the Awoken and Guardians's actions agains Xivu Arath, and as a result of the War God's focus on punishing her treacherous sister, they faced little issue from her forces. | |||
